Easy to use
Worked like a charm!! Had not one but two bolts/screws to remove. Soaked the bolts the night before with WD-40. So easy to use.

Works great ! Go slow !
So I usually don’t write reviews but this extractor set is worthy. I use Bosch hammer drills on my job and have been happy with their tools and bits. With that being said I bout a project motorcycle that was laid down and banged up and discovered several broken bolts. These pictures are the gas tank bolt and the right foot peg bolt. I read a bunch of reviews and decided to try these. I went slow bc some of y’all said the bits snapped off. Drilled the pilot hole then tapped in the bit gently with a small hammer and gradually put counter clockwise pressure with small vice grips. To my pleasant surprise both bolts backed out. Man what a great rush. Give them a try. Take your time and lots of WD or PB blaster.

DO NOT BUY!
Do not buy this product. 10min into using this tool, 2x drill bits broke and 2x extraction tools broke. I used to wrench on cars for a living but now it's just a hobby and this tool was just down right disappointing. Bosch needs to be using a material with a higher tensil strength for this. I threw the remaining tools away because of how badly they performed. I even used to work at Bosch so my disappointment is probably greater than most people but I would not recommend this to anyone. Period.

It works
I ordered 5 different sets of tools to remove a stripped screw. The first one I tried didn’t do anything but this tool removal tool worked perfectly and removed the screw in about 30 seconds. I didn’t even try the other 3 tool sets. I will try them next time I have a stripped screw. Don’t buy anything else, you will be waisting your time and money.

Better than most extractors on Amazon, but still requires finesse and patience.
I used this for extracting bolts out of an old outboard with many stripped/broken bolts corroded into the block/heads, so the primary use was extracting stainless steel bolts from aluminum. I pulled 2-3 bolts out with this and it worked pretty well. Remember that the fluted extractor should be turned with a wrench--not with a drill, otherwise you will likely immediately break the extractor. And you should use generous amounts of PB Blaster/Kroil.Eventually, I did over-abuse this kit and broke an extractor off in a bolt and broke two of the drill bits attempting to get the extractor out. The bolt was actually turning when the extractor broke, so I kept turning even though the resistance built up and it felt aggressive. These extractor kits all require finesse, but I expected a little more from Bosch. I used a dremel to grind the extractor tip out, then drilled out the bolt the rest of the way.So the tool did eventually break, but it lasted longer than the other cheap kits I've gotten on Amazon. Overall, the kit is good, and had I been a little more gentle, it probably would not have broken, but in the end, it is still a basic fluted extractor kit so fairly limited and requires a significant amount of finesse and patience.I'll probably buy another to replace the broken extractor since this is still the best kit for the money on Amazon. The only thing I would change about the kit is to have reverse bits. The included bits are standard clockwise bits, and I don't really like drilling out bolts/screws clockwise.

Very pleased worked well.
Excellent! Had an engine mount bolt break on my motorcycle after an accident bent the bolt and slider. I was worried when I ordered this because if the removal tool broke off I’d be screwed. Bits are high quality drilling and bolt came out easily. I followed proper instructions headed the area with torch and sprayed penetrating oil into the threads first. Worked perfect with no visible damage to the kit. Very pleased.

Extractor broke off in screw, drill bits are forward not reverse cut
Pros:• Nice storage case with rubber bumpers• Drill bit did cut into screw, but not reverse cutCons:• Extractor broke off in the screw! Made problem worse!• Drill bits are not reverse, only cut in clockwise direction• Plastic packaging is dreadful to open, bordering on dangerousI have a bathtub overflow where the screws have rusted, leaving just the screws remaining in the PVC, but no head remaining. I bought these to extract the screws. They made the problem worse after the extractor (#1 size) broke off in the screw!I initially smoothed the rough rusted surface of the screw with a Dremel tool, using both a burr and grinding wheel. Using a small burr, I made a detent to drill safely into.I used the 5/64” drill bit. Initially I had the drill in reverse, as this is what most extractor sets have so the drill doesn’t drive the screw in further. It didn’t cut. Putting the drill into the forward direction the drill did drill into the screw. I drilled a hole between ¼” to ½” in each screw.I then used the #1 screw extractor. I tried gently tapping with a hammer, but that didn’t do a whole lot. I didn’t want to hit it hard for fear of breaking the PVC assembly. Eventually I did get the extractor to start to bite into the screw. I slowly was using a small pair of vice grips slowly turning the extractor counter clockwise. I did get a good bit into the screw, but before the screw started to back out the extractor tip broke off in the screw. This made the problem worse!I’ve tried using the same 5/64” drill bit to cut through the extractor, but it seems the extractor is harder than the bit. I think all I did was dull the drill and make a bit of a mess out of what was a cleanly drilled hole in the screw. The set itself comes in a nice, rugged plastic case with rubber bumpers on the corners. That part is nice. It would have been fine if this was shipped in just a cardboard box, but no….That plastic case was encased in clear plastic for apparently a peg board display. While I was able to open the plastic without tools, it wasn’t easy, and there were lots of sharp edges to avoid getting injured opening the package. This also just creates more plastic waste. I despise this type of packaging, and there is no reason to have it for products sold through Amazon.Having the screw extractor break off in the screw on the first use is extremely disappointing. The drill bits also being standard bits and not reverse bits also is disappointing. I will be seeing if I can return this set.
