Q: Does any place repair these? Recently motion has been limited to the head turning from side to side.

I have bought 2 dogs , one from Amazon, which lasted 1 yr and 2 months. Head slowed down turning. You could hear the moving of gears then finally stopped barking. Emailed manufacturer , no it couldn’t be fixed. Made in China. But they would sell me a discounted one for $120 with free shipping, which I bought. This one had no heart beat to start with and just died 6 months after getting. I got them for my Mom who I care for at home and has Alzheimer’s. I am really debating whether or not to get another.

Q: Will this react or interact with a real dog who may be home alone? Does it require a human to do somerthing or can it be turned on, left and work?

One must interact by petting, squeezing etc for the puppy to react. It would ' go to sleep ' left alone with a real dog. My guess is that any real dig would destroy it. The directions are soecifb on how to get it to do certain things. It will bark fir a time but that's it. I feel it's fore humans not live dogs.

Q: How long do the batteries usually last?

We are still on the first batteries. We gave it to Mom on Christmas Day. They are still working and she has him on all the time at a nursing home.

Q: How many batteries does it take?

4 C batteries, which makes it heavier than it looks, but it’s so darn cute. My mom loves it.
