Very sturdy
I bought this to keep a small sponge in. I work as a cashier and I bought it to use at work to get the plastic bags open. Like that it closes securely and fits in my smock pocket.

This soap box is the perfect size for pretty much any typical bar of soap
This soap box is the perfect size for pretty much any typical bar of soap. Living in a dorm, it's important to me to be able to easily transport a bar of soap without dripping soapy water all over everything in my shower caddy, and this fits the bill perfectly. It keeps it safe, protects my other items, and even works well in a gym bag if you want to shower after your workout.I have had no issues with it popping open of its own accord or the plastic cracking. I have dropped it on the shower floor a good few times, and it has held up great. Relatively high quality, but still for a decent price, which is greatly appreciated when you're on a budget. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no drainage in this. It's solid, and while it does leak water if tipped, in general, nothing will come out. That just means you need to be careful about getting too much water in it, which is simple enough to but something to think about when considering buying this. Not something I looked for, actually the opposite, so I happily give it five stars, but good to know.

Flimsy, rough/sharp edges, terrible hinges. This thing isn't worth more than 50 cents.
I didn't know it was possible to fail at making a soap box; but they sure proved me wrong. This is basically just a sheet of cheap plastic folded into a box shape with some notches in it. Seriously. It is so flimsy and unpolished that I thought a 4th grader made it for a school project or something. The edges are so rough that they almost cut you, the notch for closing it is nothing like that in the picture and takes forever to pry open (it's basically just a plastic horseshoe wrapped around another piece of plastic with no design at all), and the joints/hinges connecting the lid and body are just three tiny pieces of plastic that fold--I would be shocked if one of them didn't break within the first week. Once again, there is no design to this at all. There is no way that could differentiate this from a folded sheet of plastic. A soap box costing $4.40 should have no problems whatsoever. I mean, seriously; it's a soap box. How do you mess that up? If you're considering buying this, don't. Go to your local shop or pharmacy or something and you'll probably be able to get a soap box that looks like it was crafted by Michelangelo for $4. There is no way this thing costed more than 30 cents to make.
