Reliable brand with zero issues
Great drive, easy install and no setup issues.Although others recommend other brands for different setups I have always used Western Digital and have relied on the Blue series for the last few years with no issues.

Paired with an Enclosure its faster than an Off-The-Shelf External SSD
I'm using this WD NVMe SN580 2TB to make an external SSD - paired with an Enclosure from UnionSine - model MD202. My iMac is late 2015 27inch and only has USB 3.0 ports. When I run a disk test I see solid speeds close to the 0.5 GB/s max for USB 3.0 - See screenshot. The NVMe was 80% full. For comparison, I show the speed of a Samsung T7 1TB ( 65% full) on the same USB3.0 port. Speed for the off-the-shelf Samsung T7 SSD is shown to be slower across the board. Once I move up to a faster mac with higher speed USB ports I expect this NVMe to shine even more with a suitable enclosure.

Good price / performance
Over spec'd for my use case but such a good price.

Does what it says
Easy to install and a lot of storage for the money. Easy to set up in Windows and is now my primary storage device with my original M.2 SSD used purely for booting

Great replacement for old drive
The drive came with software that allowed me to clone the old drive. The whole process was simple and quick & the new drive is easily good enough for me.

The drive is detected as different brand.???
I am in the work of testing it, but why do this WD Blue SN580 2TB show up as liteon cv3 de256. The only lite-on cv3 de256 nvme m2 is a 256GB drive. I do have the NVMe M2 drive in Orico external enclosure, a usb dock with M2 slot in it. I don't understand where the mix up is. I hope someone didn't just buy 256GB NVMe M2 drive and slap a fake label on it. Maybe a lot of people got the real deal, i am in the works of transferring a 400GB file on to it and we will see if the data are corrupted or not. I am not trying to accuse the seller, but it is very strange that the PC detects a WD drive as something else after i partition it in the PC. I know a known method is to take lower value drives and label them as much larger and usually it takes a lot of time to use up that data and then it is to late. So we will see what will happen. I give 3 stars for now because it seems to work but i am skeptical. Further googling tells me Lenovo tend to miss label drives, so my guess is as good as yours. I will then test the enclosure in newer and better computer with disc forensic program. I can not see from data write and read speed if it is correct drive, i am transferring data from old SSD drive into the new drive with USB 2.0 C cable...
