Overpriced for shoddy quality
As it's one of the stands Apple advertises and sells on its own website, I expected a lot better, especially for the price. I mainly wanted it for the MagSafe charging base, which I did find out before purchasing that the MagSafe functionality isn't even included. You have to buy your own and then attach it underneath. So already, $80 for a stand that doesn't do anything. It's been wobbly, and now, not even owning it for a week, I see that the rubber that grips to the bottom of the laptop is starting to peel off. Are you kidding me? It doesn't even adjust very well, you can only put it lower or higher and not by a whole lot. I'm keeping it for now to save myself space with the under-the-base charging, but it feels like such a rip-off.

Unbalanced and dirty design
This is the second chance I give this company to deliver a good laptop stand. I figured that since Apple has it in their store, it must be reliable. Wrong. Let's start with the delivery. I was delivered the product box with a sticker on it. I opened the box and found the product dirty with watermarks and scratches. I'm trying to upload the pictures here, but it's impossible. Anyway, I set up the computer to test it, and for some reason, the laptop tilts to the left. I wondered if I was doing something wrong, so I started playing with the screw. When I took a closer look at the design, I noticed that the reason why this ergonomic design wasn't working was that the handles were screwed improperly to the piston/cylinder. I have a JPEG picture of 3MB showing this massive design flaw. Anyway, dirty product, poor design, and not worth over $100.

Disappointing Quality Control
I was initially excited to use the 12South MacBook stand because it looks great and feels sturdy. However, one of the four rubber corner pieces on the bottom was missing right out of the box. Without it, my MacBook wobbles constantly, making the stand unusable. This is incredibly disappointing for a product at this price point, especially from a brand I expected to trust. If 12South doesn’t address this issue and improve their quality control, I won’t be purchasing anything from them again.

Lopsided Mess
It was lopsided- it was dirty and scratched inside the package. I do not recommend buying

Almost OK
For the price, the build quality was not good. No matter what position I lock the stand in, it wobbles with the weight of my laptop. The mag-safe charger slot barely holds the charger in place. The slightest pressure on the charging pad pops the mag-safe charger out of the socket. There are other, cheaper laptop stands that have better build quality. This one doesn’t deliver on the main purpose and the gimmick they’re trying to sell.

Poor quality and Magsafe charging didn't work
The top of the stand wobbles, and the Magsafe charger did not work – my phone would 'lock' in place but wouldn't charge. Had to return, surprisingly poor quality.

If you want a stable stand…not here.
The media could not be loaded. So this is cracked down to the point my hand hurts. There’s about a 10 degree pivot that I can’t get rid off. And I do graphic work, so it’s infuriating. I don’t know why the two pieces that creat the heath adjust be the same size. I’m ticked off.

Came with a bent piston and noway to level the laptop
Great idea, poor execution, shaky piston and poorly finished
