Absolutely brilliant. I live on a boat and have used it to shave my head and beard every few weeks for 2 years now and it's still never missed a beat and holds a charge well. If only everything was as well made!

At the start of lockdown I decided to grow a beard, just to prove to myself that I could do! After about 3 months things were getting out hand and I ordered the Beard & Stubble Trimmer to tidy things up a bit. Wow! It worked brilliantly and tidied my face up really well and made me look human and a bit younger (I am not stating that the trimmer is the elixir of life but a good shaping and shortening the length is great!). Easy to use and clean with a great variety of guards from a great name - Philips. Highly recommended! At least friends can stop saying that I am preparing for Santa's Grotto this year!

Excellent device. Small enough to travel with, but still powerful. Do be careful not to slip if you are free-styling your beard as you can clip too much out. Not a problem is you use the extension combs that are included. USB charging is great for travelling--charges from laptop USB port or phone charger. Easy to clean as the blade lifts off easily and there is ittle brush for flicking hairs out of the mechanism. The only issue is the switch: it is quite difficult to click the switch on as it requires you to push a button in with your thumb. Perhaps my thumb is too big or my fingernails too short, but I often need to use two hands to turn it on. Turning off is not a problem. Have not used it long enough to comment on robustness, but it is well built and should last a long time.

I've had these exact clippers for over 5 years now... they have never missed a beat and are powerful. I do my beard and head and have THICK stubble. I bought some new ones on here a few weeks ago that were of the "T Blade Trimmer" design, you know the ones - gold metal embossed handle and all over amazon. They were very weak and kept getting stuck in my hair. I sent them back and have started using the Philips again and am wondering why I even bothered to upgrade! That's my assessment anyway, good luck out there beardy guys!

This is the third trimmer of this model that we have purchased thro Amazon. 2 were for last Christmas, and the latest in September 20, was to replace my failed trimmer purchased some 15 years ago, which was also a Philips product.This is a really great trimmer with a serious number of attachment options. and the first BUT is in trying to identify which trimmer heads are for which application. whilst they are colored what is black, dark grey or grey. none of them are identified in their packs, PLUS there are no ident marks on each trimmer head. This is total rubbish .And when you try to log in to the Philips web page to get your extended warranty, good luck to any of you Guys that actually achieve. FOR US THIS WEB LINK IS AMOUGNST THE WORST TO REGISTER.

Decided to wait a few months before reviewing as this is a lower price trimmer and I was suspicious about longevity.I generally use it each day or every other on the lowest grade because I am too lazy to shave my boat more regularly or wet shave in the morning. It does what it says. I have no irritation or discomfort.It is easy to clean as the blades pop on and off with ease. The battery seems to last ages, I think I have charged it only twice in that time.Some comments mention the button being sticky or hard to use. I would say it takes a little extra push but you dont need to have thumbs like brian shaw to use it and it is ideal to prevent accidental activation e.g. in luggage.Overall very pleased. Would recommend and would buy again.

This is the second razor I've had, and both have had the same problem, showing charged but not working after lengthy 8-12 hour charges, so Amazon will get this one back as well, why stock this item with a recurring fault, am not going for 3rd time lucky

Bought on behalf of a male friend, this is his review.Not used for travelling but assume it will still work the same 🤔Bought to replace a wahl set which sadly died on me half way through clippering my facial fur.... (typical). I prefer these as they have the clipper comb guards with them. They gave a really close crop which I like to do before I wet shave, it saves bunting my blades so much. Definitely worth buying I like them a lot.
