Kids telescope
Quality was cheap. It broke like in five minutes to clean it. Not satisfied.

The telescope is fine but not on the tripod
The telescope itself is fine but it does not stay on the tripod which is very frustrating.

Telescope
Good quality, easy to assemble. My grandson loves it, but the lense to look through is from the larger end. Looks as though it was placed on backwards.

Waste of money
Don’t waste your money. The first one I bought, the lens kept popping out. Returned for another and you can hardly focus the telescope to see anything.

Great first telescope! Sturdy and really works.
Unfortunately I don't have the proper camera to really show how well this thing magnifies. I tried demonstrating by a distant cabinet in our home last night and comparing it to what I took without the telescope, but I had to zoom in and cut quite a bit of the picture out. The picture on the right is fairly pixelated though because it was a zoom in.Regardless of my poor demonstration, I can give my experience with this telescope and say that I am very pleased with how well it works. It is very sturdy and my kids were excited by the colors. Honestly, I'm the opposite- when I see bright colors like this I'm usually more concerned that it's not a serious tool. Sadly there are too many companies that underestimate our children and spin out inferior products, thinking they can get away with it because the target audience doesn't know quality yet, and the bright colors are meant to compensate for a lack in quality. Believe me, I've seen it! But I decided to give this telescope a chance because of the brand name. I played on a Geo Safari geography quiz game extensively back in the 80's and learned a lot of my basic facts on that game. I still can hear the little sound clip it played in my head, haha. I'm glad I did, because this telescope does its job well.We have another "real" telescope, and it does work a little better. It's also more delicate. This telescope has a nice balance. It really works as far as helping you see things far away better, and you can focus the image, which is nice. But it's also sturdy, so if your kid knocks it over, it's not going to break from regular use. That's really where the "my first telescope" comes into play with this one- it's designed with thick plastic that can handle what your kids will throw at it. The scope pulls out of the tripod and is held in place with basic tension. Our larger telescope is cool, but it's also finicky with lots of little parts. This one you just point and look. I like that. Know your audience.I'm really excited to take this telescope camping and to some family reunions later this summer. I think the nieces and nephews will be excited about a pint-sized telescope, especially because it works so well.
