Works Great and Turns Out Delicious Ice Cream
This system works great! I have long wanted an ice cream maker for my home, but have hesitated due to appliance size, and difficulty in cleaning. When I came across this ice cream maker, I was skeptical. The process seemed too easy, the pieces of the system seemed too small, and clean up seemed too simple. But, for the low price, I figured it was worth a try. I am not disappointed! I am actually quite impressed! The maker came with a clear and simple booklet of instructions with recipes for multiple flavors of ice cream. When I follow the instructions as written, I am able to turn out a delicious, creamy ice cream that is full on flavor. It is a multi-step process that requires chilling the bowls in the freezer at least a day ahead of time. When it is ice cream making time, one bowl is removed from the freezer at a time, filled with ingredients, and churned for 20-25 minutes. The ice cream is ready to eat at this time, and will be the consistency of soft serve. For a firmer ice cream (my preference), the bowl goes back into the freezer for a couple of hours. I used to cover the bowls with plastic wrap, but have since invested a few dollars into an optional accessory for this system, silicone lids that fit over the bowls. The difference in taste between this homemade ice cream and store-bought is distinct! The cream and sugar in the homemade ice cream stands out in a wonderful way. Additionally, it takes just four ingredients to make the vanilla ice cream recipe: sugar, skim milk, heavy cream, and vanilla. The included recipe book also has dairy-free and vegan recipe options.

Dash Ice Cream Maker: Perfect for Quick, Quiet Treats at the Office
The Dash Ice Cream Maker is perfect for making quick and small servings of ice cream, especially in the office or when you want a small treat. After freezing it for 24 hours, it’s easy to use with your favorite ice cream mix. In about 30 minutes, you’ll have soft serve ice cream. If you prefer it firmer, simply put it back in the freezer for a little longer. When I first used it, I didn’t realize that the mixer needs to be attached in a specific way. Make sure to line up the notches on the side for it to fit correctly. Once I figured that out, it worked great! It’s also pretty quiet, making it ideal for an office setting. Plus, it's compact enough to fit in small freezers or even in your work bag.Pros:Compact & Portable – Small enough to fit in your work bag and fits in small freezers.Quiet Operation – Doesn’t make a lot of noise, making it perfect for the office.Cute Design – Has a handle and a cup-like look, which is super cute and easy to use.Quick & Convenient – 30 minutes for soft serve ice cream, and you can freeze it for firmer results.Cons:Initial Setup – The mixer needs to be aligned with the notches, which may be tricky the first time you use it.Small Batch Size – Makes a small amount of ice cream, so it’s ideal for individual servings but not for larger groups.Overall, I love this ice cream maker for its portability, quiet operation, and cute design. It’s perfect for quick treats, and I’ll definitely be using it in the office!

Wasn’t sure all of the positive reviews were accurate, but they are.
My wife and I have two grandchildren, and we’re always looking for fun things to do with them, because most kids like sweets, finding a product which entertains and educates while providing an end result which is tangible isn’t easy, so when I came across this simple ice cream maker, and read the reviews, I decided to give it a try.The set up is simple; clean the cups before freezing for 24 hours and clean the rotating paddle for future use. Before using the ice cream maker, you need to prepare the mixture and allow it to cool before using.Once everything is ready, pull out the mug from the freezer, place the paddle into the motorized top, and secure it to the mug before placing the ingredients into the ice cream maker. One thing I don’t like is the way ingredients are put into the tce cream machine…there’s a small opening to pour in the liquid ingredients, which is fine, however, putting in solid ingredients can be difficult. Breaking cookies and candies into small enough pieces to fit in the tiny opening produces tiny pieces in the finished ice cream, and trying to pour in non-liquid ingredients, like caramel or chocolate sauce, it gets messy. With that being said, when it’s time to turn off the ice cream machine and remove it from the mug, the results are a delicious “soft serve” ice cream in the mug. If you want it like the more frozen variety (to scoop or spoon), you’ll have to transfer the soft serve into a container (with lid), and place it in the freezer to harden. One thing which may make this easier is if they included lids for the mugs so no transfer would be necessary. If you want multiple flavors, you have to use the same mechanized top on the second cup, and repeat the process. Again, if you want a more solid product, once again you complete a transfer and place the second ice cream flavor into the freezer. If making for the grandkids, immediate gratification is almost always necessary, so after the 20 minute freezing process, they can dig in.Naturally, my wife and I had to test the ice cream maker before introducing the fun project to the kids. We prepared to mugs, we used the same ice cream base so two different flavors (vanilla and any other flavor, like chocolate or coffee flavored).and then chose different items to add to our mugs (crushed Oreos or Reeses Cups vs Caramel and ,I’m I Marshmallow). I prepared my wife’s first, and the product came out like soft serve with her desired additions, and when I was cleaning the top and paddle before pulling out the second mug before starting my preferred product, she tasted the ice cream and said “this is freaking delicious”. I transferred her ice cream into another container so she wouldn’t the whole thing and make her sick, then I made my choice and put it in the freezer once the churning process was completed. Mine came out amazing, as well.If this came with lids for the mugs I would give it five stars, but if that’s not a big issue, then the finished product deserves five stars..

Great Little Ice Cream machine!!!
This is a perfect little machine. I am single and it makes just the right amount of ice cream. Unfortunately, if I buy ice cream it doesn't last because I eat it. So with this Dash Mug, I make about a cup of ice cream and that's it - I'm not eating a pint or a quart. I know what's in it and I can make whatever I want. I have been using a little cream, a little Torani syrup and some 2% milk. I have also used Carnation Breakfast Essentials mixed with the milk and cream. The more cream you use, the more creamy result. The directions say to run it for 20 minutes. I haven't done that yet. As soon as it looks like soft serve, I stop it and it's delicious. Having the two mugs is good because I can rotate them and have a very well chilled mug every day. Very happy with this purchase.
