It worked from the get go. The SD card formats itself, or doesn’t need it. The movies are split nicely into into 3 min sections by default. The device reads a .txt file on the card to reset time and date or any other parameters you want to change, such as removed date stamp from video. I found the quality was good even in quite dim light. The battery lasted around 3-4 hours.

At first I could not get it working. It would record audio but no video. I had already printed the return label when I thought about googling the issue first. I found out that many owners of spy cams have the same problem since their laptop,PC, Mac is not up to date with video codecs. I downloaded VLC video and whoom, it worked. I deduct 2 stars for the very poor user manual that came with the camera. There should be a section about 'trouble shooting'. The instructions are also very vague. Explaining the different modes it always gives you 3 steps to perform. But after a while I noticed that the third step is only necessary AFTER finishing recording when you want to save files.

This works. I was truly shocked. The quality, the sound, amazing. I thought it would be flimsy or hard to get the software to work. It did take me a minute to get the SIM card out but that was on me. So easy. The clarity is startling. If you want a very simple, effective, dependable camera, it works. I highly recommend it for everyone. If you're sitting in a bar or walking to your car, it's handy.
