Light weight steel construction with plastic inside tray. Outside lock hasp is very small - if you want to lock toolbox you’ll need a really small padlock to slip through small hasp opening

Fantastic tool box for the price.
Built well! The inner plastic tray was thicker than I expected.It fit my 18 inch blacksmith tongs, 14 inch pipe wrench, 10.5 inch fencing pliers, 9.5 inch linesman pliers, and my secateurs. They were larger tools that didn't quite fit my main tool bag, and were just floating around my workshop. Well, they have a nice dust-proof place now.I am very happy with how it keeps my workshop so organized.
