Solid.

Fits perfectly in my 2017 FZ09. Came 90% charged. Feels a little cheaper than the pics make it look but that’s ok. Would buy another.

2020 BMW R1250RS - Replaced underpowered original BMW AGM battery

If you're like me, you're probably researching all of your options for a replacement battery but no matter where you go it's almost impossible to get any honest feedback because everyone has something to say about it leaving you more confused than when you first set out to research it.My BMW 1250RS was having this strange starting issue that only seemed to present itself after I had been riding for a while, shutting down for a short time (ex. getting fuel) and then trying to restart again. It always seemed like the battery was underpowered and struggling to crank the engine over. Apparently, a well-known issue with these boxer engines and probably others as well. This makes for an awkward exit from the gas pumps...After diagnosing it was determined that I needed to replace the battery as mine was likely worn out. So off I went to look for a battery... I must have spent days trying to figure out if I should just go to BMW and drop the cash for the same underpowered battery that I already had OR try out one of these lithium batteries I keep reading about. Let me tell you... similar to other highly controversial automotive maintenance debates on the internet such as "which engine oil should you use" people have many opinions on these, good and bad. So bad in fact I might have almost just caved and went to BMW or ordered some cheap AGM battery locally worrying I might explode on the highway or something if I use a lithium battery. In the end though I purchased this NOCO NLP14, and so far, I am very happy with it. Install was the same, aside from having to use spacers to make this battery as tall as the original to take up the proper space. The various terminal mounting points that are fixed to the battery top are a huge plus. If you've ever had to juggle those little threaded nuts and terminal bolts on a powersport battery before you know what I mean.I immediately notice a difference when starting the bike now. No longer does it feel like its struggling to turn the engine. I even tried starting after refueling just to replicate any conditions from before and without skipping a beat it started right back up. I was worried that the R1250RS's onboard electronics might be too much for the battery, but so far, I haven't had any problems with lower power in the mornings. I did be sure to purchase the NOCO Genius 1 charger and NCO X-Connect hardwire kit to charge the battery with a proper lithium charger for when the bike isn't ridden for a while. All together it was less than a new BWM AGM battery at the local dealer.TLDR; Bad battery? Slow to no start? Give lithium battery (and charger) a chance. Just might surprise you.

Not a good replacement battery for an Indian Scout. Ultimately it cost me $530 not including towing.

I was told by NOCO that this battery was equal to the battery (YTX14) that I had in my 2019 Indian Scout. The email from the NOCO representative said the following: "The YTX14 would be compatible with the NLP14.The BMS can trip for a number of reasons including overcharge, over discharge, over current, too hot or too cold, or a short circuit. If your bike is putting out too much current, then the battery would trip to protect itself. While the terms of the warranty would be for a replacement only, if the battery tests bad, we can do a refund to a paypal account with your proof of purchase. If the device tests good, it will be returned to you.I would just need the device serial number, your address and phone number along with a copy of the proof of purchase to start the RMA process.Regards,Chris GNOCO Customer Support SupervisorI sent proof of purchase on Amazon and the serial number in addition to a copy of the Indian Dealership mechanics notes indicating the problem with the battery. I explained that putting this battery in my bike cost me nearly $400 only to find that the battery did not work in my bike and a new Indian factory battery. I was told I needed to pay to mail the battery back to the NOCO and they would test the battery. But, they will not have my bike to test it in. Which shows they do not stand behind their product. This NOCO battery has cost me $530 when you add the original price of the battery and the cost at the dealership to find out why my bike stalled on me twice, leaving me stranded on the side of the road after the NOCO was installed. I explained in a email that I am hesitant to spend more money on a battery which clearly doesn't work in my bike. So, even if it seems this battery should work for you if you do not send it back in 30 days to Amazon you will be stuck with a battery that doesn't work and if it is a motorcycle you are putting it in then I hope you have motorcycle towing insurance.

Vulcan 900, Seems to work as advertised

Just put it in on my Vulcan 900 custom(with minor bending of the negative lead from the bike). Only have used it one day but so far its been working grate and has noticeably made the bike start much faster.
