I bought these so I could put headphones with 3.5 mm plugs on a Xbox 360 with a chat set. They work perfectly. I'm sure they would work for anything that had 2.5mm ports to convert to 3.5mm ports. Saved me a lot of money because I didn't have to buy a whole new chat set mixer or new headphones. I was able just to plug these in and go.

Can’t rate the the sound/quality as it didn’t work for my application. My fault for not confirming the conductors or rings on the male and female side of my plug/socket. Remember each section of your plug is a conductor (tip, ring, sleeve). If they don’t match then this product won’t work for you.

I have an older landline phone that has a 3.5mm 2 ring or 3 part connector. There were no headsets that had this. I was able to buy the normal headset with a 2.5mm with 2 rings connector and this adapter allowed me to plug that into the 2.5mm female end and then the male 3.5mm 2 ring jack fit into my phone. It worked! I didn't need to replace my phone! Yay!

This is exactly what I needed, however both failed the first time I used them. I plugged in a headset and didn't have audio. When I unplugged the headset, the silver colored ground ring came out with the plug. It slid back in but still no audio. I tried the second one with slightly better results. Both headset and mic worked. However I kept losing my calls. I unplugged the headset and the ground ring came out of this one as well. But no more lost calls. Mechanically, they both broke (the 2.5mm hole was too tight for the 2.5mm plug). Electrically, both failed. CANNOT recommend.

Adapter replacement for my lost Sennheiser music headset cable. Fits well mechanically and electrically 3pin input&output as an adapter. But it would be even better without the additionally required extension cable, ie. an option with 1 or 2m total length.
