Good product

A good product. We use them underneath the desk. Box the desk off and it just provides a little bit of extra heat while working. Obviously, make sure you don’t burn your knees! But it’s unlikely. I’d recommend.

good

Good quality, plenty of heat, to hot to touch.

Great for what I needed it for

Bought to put in my tiny campervan to help while out camping over winter. Really impressed by it. It runs off my Jackery 500 power station with not much draw tbh. I ran it in the house just to test its power draw. It ran for 1.5hrs & consumed only 8% battery & gave off more heat than i was expecting it to, which I'm happy with. I love relaxing under fluffy blankets so won't be using it continuously, so just for short bursts really. I'll install this one to test it out this weekend while away camping for the wkend & see how it gets on. Once the temps get a bit more like real winter (as it's only early Oct) & if needed I'll buy another one. This was recommended to me by a fellow tiny campervan owner who has installed 2 of these but doesn't use blankets. I'll update my review later in the year if I do install another one 👍Build quality seems good, extremely easy install process taking only minutes & definitely value for money too 💰

Ideal for keeping the damp at bay

Bought this heater for a cold wall in our bedroom, easy to set your ideal heat. Energy efficient. Havn’t noticed our bills going up but keeps the damp at bay. Is behind our bed on a timer. Fits nicely behind bed.

No stars!

Pathetic product! Absolutely useless heating tube. I chose the 1ft heating tube because I needed it to fit in a very small gap behind our cupboard to stop the re-occurrence of damp. The tube heats up to around 80 degrees and then almost instantly cut out and cools down to 40 degrees and then a few minutes later it heat up again. It is very, very slow at heating up and even though it reaches 80 degrees for a few seconds you can barely feel any heat off it, no way would this stop damp. I have another heating tube that stays at a constant 80 degrees which has stopped damp in another part of our home. “Why didn’t you order the same heating tube as the good one you own?” I hear you ask. Well, I went onto my order history and order the same tube but instead I got this piece or rubbish. On top of everything, I had to pay to return the useless pile of junk even though I ordered it on Prime. Find another heating tube and save yourself a lot of time, money and hassle.Edit: I have now purchased the Elixer Garden 30cm low energy heating tube from another website, it is however sold here on Amazon. It is perfect for the job of combating rising damp. The tube is a little wider in diameter but that make no difference to me. I chose the one with the digital thermostat because the heat is most consistent.https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GFNP8MY/ref=twister_dp_update?ie=UTF8&th=1

Not bad for the money.

The brackets are very flimsy and has no thermostat but it keeps cutting out. You have to switch it off leave it and then switch it back on to get it to work.

Safe and effective

These are really safe to keep a shed or greenhouse from getting too cold and can be used in conjunction with a variable thermostat to prevent overheating. Excellent value for money

Sturdy device at a good price

There are literally dozens of tube heaters available here on Amazon and elsewhere. So, how to select which one to buy? I can't offer a simple answer, only highlight some features of this one which influenced me.One thing I wasn't specifically looking for but struck me when I saw it is the IP55 rating of this heater. I wanted to install mine in an outdoors, but sheltered, enclosure, keeping some other electronics equipment from getting too cold. I hadn't seen any other model even quote an IP rating. IP (ingress protection) is rated IPxy where the X number is dust/solids protection and the Y number is moisture/water protection. X and Y run from the lowest (1) to 6 for X and 9 for Y. So IP69 would be dust-tight and submergible. IP55 is pretty good for the location I had in mind. Positive mark in my view.I was also pleased to see it is (or claims to be) locally (UK) designed and manufactured. Not for nationalistic pride, just in favour of reducing products being shipped needlessly around the world. The heater came well-packaged, promptly and was ready to plug-and-play. One strange thing I couldn't resolve was to do with the mounting clamps. Although they hold the heater up I couldn't get them to screw together tightly enough to grip the heater. It was always able to slide horizontally back and forward until the larger diameter ends hit the clamps. (Sudden thought - maybe I was intended to fit the clamps round these larger ends, rather than the tube itself? If that is the case it's certainly not clear in the instruction leaflet. It also won't suit my installation location.) However the heater won't be subject to any sideways forces so this is a minor issue.Big question - would I buy it again? Well, it turns out that my estimate for the heating of the enclosure I have seems to have been a bit optimistic! The overnight temperatures have already dipped below what I would ideally like. I've no reason to assume that this heater isn't working properly. I can't measure whether it's consuming/producing 60W or not. Anyway, I think I'll get a larger one - the 120W - and use it instead. I'd be very happy to buy this make again.
