My soon-to-be 9-year-old nephew has shown an interest and talent in drawing and this excellent book is just the thing to encourage him. It exceeded my expectations and I'm sure he'll be very happy with it.

This author is consistent. Always a pleasure to work through th exercises in her books.With this one she takes us through sketches using only graphite pencils , showing us how to turn a sketch into a realistic almost photo like picture using shading as one of the methods.She uses up to 6-8 illustrations each building on the previous one. Lots and lots of tips she shares. (The book is worth the price just for those tips.)Good quality cover and pages are well laid out. Print is dark so you won’t have any problems reading the text.Very good value

It's great! I love it!! Super easy to understand and a great way to relax after work. I'm not an artist, so these drawings take me a bit more time, but not by much. I'm so grateful that resources like these are available! I'm proud of many of the drawings I created with this book :)
