Melissa & Doug First Shapes Jumbo Knob Wooden Puzzle

My toddler loves this puzzle. It was one of the first ones we gave her, and I would recommend it because it is easier than other puzzles such as animal and alphabet ones, since the shapes are simpler. The fun colors are attention-grabbing and keep her engaged. It is affordable too, which is even better! I would definitely say it is good value for the money.

Nice colors, solid wood, worth the price, my son easily handled the pieces and put them back at 19 months. Its not heavy he can easily lift it up. Nothing bad to say about this puzzle. This is my first kid but I think I could have gotten him this puzzle at a younger age.

The thick wooden puzzle came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. My 1 year old grandson loves it! It is such a great learning puzzle because it teaches through a picture of the shapes.I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews on Amazon and decided to call Melissa and Doug company to find out if their superior quality had changed over time. The company informed me that the pictures on the puzzle piece are not painted; it's a picture with a high quality laminate on top. I decided to take a chance, and I am so happy I did. It is good to know from other reviewers that the puzzle pieces do not hold up to a long time in the mouth. (In my opinion, puzzle pieces shouldn't be used as a chew type of toy anyway.) My grandson prefers to put the knob in his mouth and it is reassuring to know that the knob is screwed not glued, so I don't have to worry about the knob coming off. My grandson did put the actual piece in his mouth for a few seconds and it did not fall apart. Since the puzzle piece is not a solid wood piece, I imagine if left in the mouth for a long time it could warp. At this age, I'm planning to use the puzzle with supervision anyway, so there won't be a chance for my grandson to use it as a chewing type toy. I highly recommend this puzzle. I also bought a Melissa and Doug transportation puzzle that I am going to save for when he is a little older.

Arrived on time and was packed well. Perfect size for a one-year old. With so few pieces it's not overwhelming to play with. Very happy with my choice. Melissa & Doug is a well known brand I would buy as a gift and give with confidence.

These wooden puzzles are perfect for my one year old. The knobs make it easier to grasp. The puzzle is cute and colorful.

Love this puzzle with chunky knob handles. Only drawback is that the printed design doesn’t hold up to being gummed or chewed on by a teething little one! With supervision it is fine!! I’m sure grandson and I will enjoy for a long time!

this is a great puzzle it is sturdy and has fun colors! i got this puzzle for my son when he was about a year old and he will be 2 in january and he still enjoys playing with this puzzle! 🧩
