Very Happy! It’s like moving an MT Shopping Cart around the Yard
I hesitated buying and electric mower for a long time as they did not have the same power as a gasoline mower- Well I still agree to some point on that - however this one seems to keep up and the power ramps up when needed- and the good news it is so lightweight that my wife can use it - This is not a self drive which I prefer- oh and by the way we are older now - 66/67 - not that makes a difference on a mower - but it’s so easy to move around the yard - We use it in the mulch mode - Win on that too! However only had it for this mowing season so far. Also because it’s electric and we have Solar - no additional costs for fuel. Oh and we have lots of trees the small twigs I run over disappears.

Outstanding Mower!
This mower exceeded my expectations! For the past 20 years I’ve had a Toro Recycler mower. My lot has hills and the personal pace feature with the Toro wasn’t “cutting” it anymore (no pun intended). I bought this Greenworks mower and am blown away by its performance. It has lots of power, cuts evenly, I can set the speed to my liking for the self propulsion feature. It bags well too, and the height adjustment bar couldn’t be easier, but what I love the most about it is the ability to engage the self propulsion feature without engaging the cutting blade. This is handy for moving the mower uphill where there is no grass, just dirt, without creating a dust storm. I’m loving everything about this mower!

Love this mower
Excellent machine! Do not save the $100. Buy this self-moving mower. it is well worth it. Battery lasts for 30 minutes but charges very fast. I definitely recommend buying another battery. What we did (and waiting for the shipment) is bought the trimmer with the 2.0Ah battery, which is almost the same as buying the 4.0Ah battery. We will have less idle time every 1.5 usages :) and got the trimmer as well.

Out of the box and mowing!
This review is for the Greenworks item # 250 1202, Model# 250 1202, 80V Ultra Power Pro 21" push mower purchased on March 8 2025.The box came in good condition. I pulled out the charger and battery, put the battery on charge, went to dinner with wifey for about abhor and a half. On return, I put the handle bar together, tilted the box up and rolled out the mower. I adjusted the height, checked the battery power level, put in the battery, started it and ran it over the grass in mulch mode in bout 20 minutes. NO GAS, NO OIL. I don't care if I have to buy a new one in two years (at the price I paid). Not messing with gas and oil (and ITS QUIET and LIGHT), is well worth it to me. It's so light I'm glad I didn't buy the self propelled. If you are over 60 or have limited strength or tire easily, I would get the self propelled. I wasn't planning to do it, but the mower is such a pleasure to push, I mowed the rest of the front yard. I would still recommend taler wheels for pushing. The ability to just put in a battery and go is so wonderful. I intentionally waited a few years for these electric mowers to get good and reliable, and for my gas mower to get a little closer to the grave, to take the cordless plunge. I think the time is just right. We are in a place where the mowers are capable and still simple. I can see the 2025 season of GW mowers becoming overly adorned with plastic cosmetics and overcomplicated in hand controls. The one I chose is perfect.I had found the magic formula for making a gas mower easy to start and run well, its TruFuel. That gas is amazing and I encourage everyone to use it in their gas equipment. My Cub Cadet lasted for ten years and still has compression after using TruFuel exclusively for the last five years. If you have a generator or other motor, for storage, drain it, run TruFuel in it and drain it. Your motor will start next season. BUT, TruFuel is expensive at $25/ gallon. That is about $100 of gas a season in my gas mower. It's money and hassle Ive saved not taking it to the repair shop to unclog gas varnish or replace carburetors. The four star rating is for build. I think the deck gage could be thicker, the push bar hinges could be beefier, the handle bar could be square, not canted angles.Good points are the wheels and axles are solid. The controls are kept simple, something I think other models with multiple trigger levers, is needing to re-engineer back to a more minimalist approach. A major reason I chose this model is it is about the last model with a single bail switch bar on the handle keeping the work space uncluttered.I cannot comment on the clippings bag because I haven't used it yet. I am skeptimistic about the bottom edge not having any latching to keep it from swinging open and dropping grass out the bottom. Perhaps the only time this will happen is when it's filled to capacity, which would be understandable. One user trick I would like to point out, that may have to be read in the user guide to learn (like me), is the operation of the bar release and angle position levers. They can be pulled and rotated 90˚to keep open while positioning. It can be a bit fiddly not knowing this trick.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. BUT! It's not HOT here yet and when it is, it's 100˚F days.We shall see how well the battery can tolerate the heat in that enclosed compartment. I may need a cooler backup battery on standby.I'm sure of one thing, the job will be much easier not dealing with the noise and gas.

Amazing
I received the lawn mower. It was securely packed and appeared that it was really well built up, and also appeared to look at the highest quality end. The assembly was probably very understandable and easy for others, but it was not for me. I will wait for my friend to come over and assemble it. Otherwise I'm very pleased with my purchase. Thank you!

Great Electric Mower!!
I feel very good about this purchase. Easy getting it out of the box. Fast setting up. Instructions “pamphlets” needed to be together, and they were too small. Basically they need to explain the setting up process Better. Started right up and it had plenty of power. My yard is somewhat small, The battery usage was exceptional, only one indicator light was used out of 4. The cut was very good. The Self-Propelled was very good especially the controls on the handle. I always thought I was a gasoline man, this Electric mower certainly held up to the gas engines. Mower was very quiet. My biggest Complaint is the way you backup. The first few times the rear wheels would lockup, only for a brief second. So I learned just to briefly pause for a second, then it rolled back effortlessly. My first cut, I chose to use the bagger option. I couldn’t figure out why the bag wasn’t filling. When I finished I removed the bag and found the plastic block for Mulcing was blocking the opening into the bag. Again I blame this on the poor instructions. All in all I REALLY LIKE this mower!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
