Sweese Large Salad Serving Bowls, 30 Ounce Porcelain White Pasta Plates Set of 6, 8.4 Inch Pasta Bowls for Dinner, Salad - Microwave Dishwasher

As you can see from these photos, we bought a lot of Sweese. We have plenty for the next 20 years. We have double the amount seen in these photos as the other half is stored in our basement for the future. We have given away all the enormous quantities we had of Franciscan ware, Vernon ware, and Fiesta. We still have a bit of Homer Laughlin restaurant ware, though.The big plus with pasta bowls is the food does not fall so easily off the “plate” and works especially well with serving many guests standing or sitting without a table.I have bought several sets of both pasta bowls 22 ounce and 30 ounce in white, beige and blues. Nowadays I like the beige best. Also I have bought many sets of cups, a variety of styles and colors from 6 ounce cup& saucer cappuccino sets to 20 ounce tea mugs. The pasta bowls I have matched with older clear glass lids from Pyrex/Anchor Hocking to use in microwave cooking. I use white in microwave cooking avoiding eventual damage to the colorful glazes.I have rid my kitchen of mid-century dishes in favor of safer contemporary choices such as Sweese and Sweejar, although we still use Hall china teapots (no micro, no dishwasher on those).I am impressed that some of my favorite restaurants are using Sweese as restaurant ware. I find it holds up. Over the past 4 years of collecting Sweese I have dropped a few mugs on a laminate floor with no chips no breakage ever occurring.In summary, Sweese produces a quality dinnerware that is both long-living durable, attractive and fun to use!

We absolutely love these “plates.” They are perfect for saucy pasta dishes but we’ve also used them for chili. Going strong after two years even with a teen who likes to hide them under his bed. No chips on any of them. I rely a lot on Amazon reviews and it’s for sure gotten harder to weed out the good ones, but this is a good purchase! And it’s a nice neutral style that fits in nicely with the basic white porcelain dishes set that I bought years ago. They clean very easily and any knife marks can be removed with a little bit of BKF.

These are awesome bowls. I got them because we didn’t have shallow salad bowls. These are sturdy ceramic bowls with nice glazing. They arrived nicely packed and intact. I love the colors of these bowls. I’ve used them in the dishwasher and microwave several times without any issues. They stack nicely in the pantry also. Great buy

Beautiful bowls, love the large lip, used for adult with fine motor issues so keeps food on the plate.

I’ve received the set early this morning; package was left in front of the gate at around 5:30am when I came out and was rainy. But the package was intact. Nothing broken. I ordered white expecting that it would be bright white as the ones on product pictured. But, I was a little disappointed that when I opened the box, the pasta bowls were more off white, almost light beige, not bright white. I took a photo and compare it with white bowl I got from Crate and Barrel, and as you can see the little bowl on the left, is much more vibrant and bright white. Not sure if I received the beige instead of white; I can’t tell because the packaging that came with doesn’t have a label that stated the product info at all. Just plain brown box that’s said pasta bowl sealed in clear tape. There’s no product info also inside the box, just a warranty paper. It’s a great size bowl that I will use often as my main dinner plate/bowl, but wish it was brighter. Hence knocked off one star.

I bought these bowls because I wanted something that was between a pasta bowl and a salad bowl. These fit the bill!
