Fixed up my son’s Switch to look almost like new. He’s super happy with it. While the texture is not exactly line original, it’s close enough and better than a cracked shell for a great price. Installation was pretty easy.

For anyone with a damaged front or back housing plate for the Nintendo Switch, rest assured that these plates are exactly what you're looking for! The quality is top notch, and unlike a lot of cheap third-party custom housings with misaligned screw holes on AliExpress, these match the OEM Nintendo plates exactly. They look exactly like the North American Switch plates, even down to the fine print included below the logo. Even though these are North American housing plates, you can use them on European (PAL) or Asian (NTSC-J) Switch consoles. Just be aware that the fine print below the logo will be different based on the region in which you bought your console.As other reviewers have stated, the one subtle difference between these and the OEM plates, is that they come in a matte black color as opposed to the glossy/shiny black color of the originals. Whether this is good or bad will depend. If you are looking for perfect replicas, this may be a deal breaker for you. In my case, I like the matte black way more than the glossy black. I usually play my Switch using Hori's Split Pad Pro (Daemon X Machina version). The Matte black of the replacement housing matches the matte black of the Split Pad Pro, so for me, it's a perfect match.As amazing as these housing plates may be, the fact that they are missing all the necessary extra components is rather baffling. The kick stand, game card latch, vent dust covers, internal pads, and all the screws are not included. This means that you will have to take all those from your old switch housing. In my case, the game card latch and kickstand were damaged, which meant I had to order new ones in addition to this housing. I would have given 5 stars had they included these things. For the 2 vent dust covers and 4 internal corner pads, you can easily take them from your old switch backplate. Just use a hair dryer on high heat for a short while. The adhesive tape holding them will soften to the point that you should be able to peel them off your old backplate. As soon as you place them in the replacement backplate, use the hair dryer again to soften the adhesive so that they'll stick to the replacement plate. The adhesive used by Nintendo is good quality, so you should be able to just move the dust covers and pads to the new backplate without using any extra glue or tape.One final word of warning: for those of you looking to replace a damaged front housing plate (like me), be warned that this is a very difficult part to replace. Unlike the backplate, which simply requires a bit of unscrewing/re-screwing, replacing the front housing plate will require a complete disassembly of the Switch, including the removal of the digitizer touchscreen and the LCD screen. If you do not know what you are doing, you could easily damage your console. In my case, I tore one of the LCD's ribbon cables, which resulted in me paying an extra $35 to order a new LCD screen. Attempt this repair at your own risk. If you decide to go ahead with the repair, know that this front housing replacement plate works wonderfully!

From what I can tell, these are 100% OEM parts.My battery swelled in my Switch, resulting in the back shell being cracked, so I ordered both a battery and this replacement kit.The toughest thing to account for is that this does not come with the mesh grills on the bottom. I was able to work those off carefully by wedging the corner of a credit card under them and peeling them away from the shell. Enough of the adhesive was intact and they stuck right onto the new shell.Take your time disassembling and reassembling everything, and you will be happy with the results. Watch some repair videos too; they help! iFixit has a really good one on battery replacement.

Fit perfectly on my gen 1 hac001 switch BUT I am deducting a star because it was not the US edition.

Our switch was pretty beat up, this kit makes it look like new again. We will see how long it lasts, but so far it's holding up well and it looks like a brand new switch.
