And not a far drop either. I dropped it from my hand ant around 5 feet and the latches popped off. I was able to find one and put it back on but the other disappeared. There seems to be a small spring under the latch that kept the latch engaged with the rim. I never found them. I’m almost certain they were accelerated into the quantum realm. Up until the “drop”, I absolutely loved the screwdriver. The tip selection had me covered from most terminal switches and small control devices all the way up to most covers and breaker lugs. It was a one stop shop for 90% of the screws I run across. I did have to be careful and make sure the blades were stored away every time otherwise it would graze the lock when holstering and drop the tip out on the floor. Disappointed it does not seemed to take and kind of impact from a drop without making it almost useless. I would replace it, but not at. $70 price point.Update: I went onto Wiha’s website and filed a warranty claim about a week and a half ago. Never got anything from them and had pretty much given up. Then today I come home to a package on my doorstep that I wasn’t expecting. I opened it up and it’s a new handle for the screwdriver. Wiha just earned a lifelong user of their products. I’ve always liked their screwdrivers, but this cemented it today. I am thankful they have restored my favorite screwdriver to me.

When you get this tool, you can see and feel that it's a quality tool. I find the price to be really high, however I have no buyers remorse. I'm trying to minimize my tools and this works well for my plan.There is a drawback though.I've included photos, which I must apologize for the quality of the photos as I have no vise at this time, so holding steady was complicated.These bits aren't standardized, so using this screwdriver for your other attachments that are standard 1/4" shouldered, will not fit in this tool! It's close, but not quite. In the photos, I've used a metal ruler with 64th markings and it appears to me that the Wiha bits (red) are 15/64" not (silver) 1/4" as a standard bit I had here.This blows my plans to be able to add onto this tool and buy other sets of hex bits, nut drivers, etc. that I initially planned to purchase to build onto this base tool.I will keep this screwdriver as it will still be a handy tool for my minimized vision, though if I had known that I'd be unable to use standard sized shouldered bits, I honestly doubt I would have purchased in the first place.

From the pics, I wasn't sure I'd like the compartment for the bits. But it's growing on me. So far, it has the expected Wiha high quality.

Rotating control cap also broke and back end kept opening. One of the slotted bit also break within a few days while replacing old backstabbed electrical outlets.If you need Insulated Interchangeable Screwdriver Set I would recommend to Klein 8-in-1 Screwdriver Set model 32288. Not compact all-in-one tool compare with Wiha 28393 but will last a life time.

There are a couple things you should consider before you buy.I'm trying to love this thing but...#1. The lock of the bit holder is not spring loaded and in my opinion operates in the wrong direction. It's not difficult to accidentally unlock the bit holder allowing the bits to fall right out. It also slides towards the handle to unlock, meaning simple stuffing it in your pocket can easily result in unlocking. It needs a locking collar like the SlimFix 71496 1/4" Bit Holder. Or at very least add a strong magnet additionally.#2. The locking collar is free spinning, it's less intuitive to use the other support hand to twist upon the shaft with your fingers. You have to choke up or down...off the collar to provide supporting finger twist on the shaft.#3. It DOES NOT use standard 1/4" drive bits. You CANNOT use this as a general bit holder with other standard bits. this severally limits functionality. I could get over this I guess, but the overall idea was to reduce the weight and space consumption in my kit by reducing the number of separate individual tools.#4. The length of the bits is shorter than expected. It might have been better to shorten the length of the bit holder to increase the length of the bits. The diameter of the locking collar limits the reach into tight spaces...which also ....can also result in accidently UNLOCKING THE COLLAR!I realize this might also require to increase the length of the handle to accomplish storing the bits. This would probably bother me less if I could use REGULAR 1/4" bits...then on occasion I could use my own longer bits... Or nut driver bits... Can't use those either!!Overall, I could probably ignore the other complaints if I wasn't constantly worrying about loosing a bit. And because they are insulated, You hardly hear them hit the ground. You might not even notice you've lost one until you pick up your screwdriver. At least they're brightly colored... But if it falls down into a conduit... It's done. This is a little expensive for what it is. I may end up with the Kline equivalent.
