Master mechanic
I got a flare from the big brand guys and it was the worst I flared it 3 times, fluid everywhere, frustration everywhere.I turned to my trusty Amazon app for a solution and dare I say I found one. These puppies worked without a hiccup and my 1998 Tacoma is now road worthy once again. These are great and the value is amazing+ They give you more than enough to do the jobI balmed my flaring tool but it was the fitting the whole time and that's frustratingA man begins to question his journey as his flares fail only to look up and see your wife's face as you tell her to stop pressing the brake pedalBecause you can't tell her but you failedAs a manBut noIt was just a bad fitting and nowI'm back on topYou too can be on top as wellAnd let me tell yaIt feels good

upgrade from previous fittings used
these are much better than the standard ones i have used. these have longer barrels with more threads for a stronger purchase, 1st try success and confident will not leak.

Everything in the box is wrong dimnesions - Seems to happen often based on other reviews.
Item ordered was advertised as 3/8-24 thread fittings for use with 3/16" tubing. These are also the dimensions stated on the box received. The fittings received are actually 10mm x1.0mm thread for 1/4" tubing. Since the description on the box does not match the contents of box, reordering is hopeless. Unfortunately, 3/8-24 and 10mm x 1.0mm are so similar, you can't tell what type a fitting is without measuring it or connecting it to another known fitting.I should have noticed that a vendor that says in "Technical Details" the thread is both straight and tapered (NPT) is not giving good information.Thread Type - National Pipe TaperThread Style - Straight, MaleWhy aren't more complaining? Even though all the parts in the box are not the correct size to be compatible with existing parts of the size stated, the new parts in the box are still compatible with each other. I suspect many people may have used these to patch a line and did not realize they were the wrong size. If they only connected new fittings to each other and didn't connect these to existing fittings on a car they might not realize the difference.Another difference between metric and SAE fittings: Metric fittings are typically used with a bubble flare and the SAE fittings are typically used with inverted flares. How the tubing is flared should be different. Since these were metric fittings that the manufacturer said were 3/8-24 (an SAE description), other specs such as the flare type come into question.Warning: Since the manufacturer is supplying fittings for1/4" tubing people could be wrongly using fittings for1/4" tubing with 3/16" tubing. In that case tubing flare would not be properly held closely in the center of the fitting. This could be dangerous.Note, you can find both metric and SAE threads on the same vehicle.People should research and understand all the fine points of the brake line and connections before working on them. It turned out to be more complicated than I first expected.

Just what I needed
Just what I needed to replace the brake lines on my truck. These fittings are cheap but they do not leak that’s all I care about
