UPDATE 3: Down to one star. Item has become unreliable. No telling when it will or won't record. Replacing it with a different device.UPDATE 2: Okay I've added another star from my previous update. Like I said, it recording had become unreliable. But I think I found a fix.First I saved the recorder's files (in folder named "time synchronization tool") elsewhere on my computer. Then I reformatted the pen hard drive (make sure you're reformatting the pen's hard disk and not your computer's), and transferred the saved folder back onto the pen drive. Everything back to working fine... so far.Also I'm no longer moving recorded files from the pen to my computer. I simply COPY the files and save them under a more recognizable name.UPDATE: The performance of this item has gotten really sketchy. Sometimes it doesn't record anything and if it does, it loses the recordings.EDIT: This item has come in REALLY handy as of late, seeing as how Google has disabled all call recording apps on Samsung Galaxy Android 9 platforms and later. All one need do is turn on the cellphone speaker, turn on this pen, and sit it beside or on top of your phone.I'm a stickler for product documentation. This recorder/pen came with a too tiny to read without magnification pamphlet, the instructions as to how tell the difference between your turning the thing off or on, vague at best.Best I can determine, when turning it on, there's a long red light that eventually goes off, and when turning it off, there's a brief red light followed by several flashes.Then there's supposedly a voice activated setting that I won't even bother with. No way to tell that it needs a charging either, except that pressing the activation button results in no lights at all.I review the recordings via Windows Media Player, by plugging it into a pc usb port.

Nice Item

If you are looking for a quick recording device, this is NOT the one to choose. It takes almost 20 seconds to start recording after you press the record button. Not good for my recording needs, but a pretty decent device as a expensive USB drive.

No easy to use it doesn’t recorded at all

Too hard to operate

This recordable pen is nothing like the description. There is no light indicator. The manual and the pen don't match. The manual references a volume function my pen does not have that either.
