CorsairDual SSD Mounting Bracket (3.5” Internal Drive Bay to 2.5", Easy Installation) Black

This is very simple - it's just a bit of bent metal with some screw-holes in it. Screw your laptop-sized 2.5" SSD or HDD into the holes on the base, then mount the assembled drive and frame into one of the regular-sized 3.5" hard disk slots in your desktop PC.I like that it's sturdy, and all the holes align perfectly with the fitting holes in the 2.5" disk and the 3.5" bay in a standard computer case.I also like that its design means there's plenty of airflow to cool your new hard disk, and being metal, the bracket itself acts like a bit of a heatsink. So this bodes well for the stability and longevity of your newly-fitted disk.I think this device will fit the vast majority of computer cases out there, but be careful with any cases that have a weird nonstandard fitment - e.g. if the disks have some sort of "quick release" or screwless mechanism securing them. The bracket locates the 2.5" SSD's SATA and power ports approximately where they would be on a full-sized 3.5" drive, but due to the bracket being shorter than a standard 3.5" drive, these may not be located as far backwards in the case as for a standard drive. If you connect your drives with conventional SATA ribbon-cables, then this will not be a problem, but if your drives just clip into place with some sort of weird quick-release mechanism, then you may wish to look at a different bracket.Don't let the above put you off. If your hard drives are secured into your case with small screws and connected to the mainboard by conventional cables, then this will fit. And on the subject of fitment, don't worry about it. Whilst there are no instructions, it really is pretty obvious and self-explanatory.I actually bought this to replace an overcomplicated drive caddy, which clipped a connector into the SSD and then had its own connector on the outside, so that it resembled a conventional full-size hard disk. Unfortunately, the additional connectors on the other model were flimsy and its more enclosed design caused the SSD to overheat. This simple caddy bypasses both of those problems.

Simple to install

Most of my build is corsair. High quality and fit snug in the tool less drive tray. Only issue is spacing for the power cables. Mine are angled and not straight but got it to fit

A good quality product. I am a bit confused as to what it's supposed to do though. My SSD fitted the holes in the base of the plastic HD inserts in my Corsair case - signifying that the rack wasn't really necessary. However, when fitted to the rack the SSD has very firm support, and, the rack then just clips into the plastic HD rack through the holes in the side. I'm quite happy with the results. I did think about fitting the SSD in a 5.25 inch bay, but it would have meant buying another adapter, and I thought the wiring wouldn't be so elegant.

Used this to fit a 2.5" form factor SSD into an 3.5" bay. Fitted well into the bay and accommodated the new SSD securely.

As you would expect from Corsair, this is a quality product. I was able to quickly and easily mount two SSDs in my desktop PC; one existing one that I swapped out of a single mounting bracket and a new SSD to replace it as my main drive. I've not had any problems since.I would definitely buy this again.

Recently had my Hard Drive replaced with two new SSD's. This bracket is needed to mount them to your machine.

If they fit your PC's HDD/SSD enclosure then I'm sure they would be a good solution, but unfortunately they would not fit the Acer or Lenovo SFF PCs I tried them in. I purchased them to install 2.5" SSDs in a 3.5" drive enclosures
