College "general education requirements" are the biggest rip-off on the face of the planet. You're essentially paying these colleges $22,000 to $68,000 dollars per year to REPEAT high school, and at a level which isn't significantly more rigorous than what your kid will learn in an average honors class. Worse, universities these days are a mess ... you'll mortgage your house and go into debt, only to have your kid come back spouting nonsense.If your kid is still in high school, buy this book, enroll YOURSELF at Modern States for free alongside your kid, and then use this book to update their excellent online classes to the 2019 CLEP exam since it changes every year, and these are the latest test-questions. Buy this book for $25, spend $87 per subject to help your kid "CLEP" out of the first year of college, and save yourself a bundle.MY teenager is in 11th grade and has already CLEP'd out of 3 of her 10 college classes, and has passed another 2 full-fledged college classes by taking advantage of her high school's "dual enrollment" program at our local university. Right now, she's studying to pass the DSST (formerly DANTES) exam in an upper-level subject, another set of tests similar to CLEP which has second-year classes. Don't get ripped off. Buy this book. Push your kid that wee bit extra when studying, and then the moment they pass their classes each term, drag them down to the CLEP or DANTES test center and "test them out of" those college classes.

Gives a good idea of what to expect on the test. Also if you can pass these practice tests you know you’re ready to take the actual exam. Title is a little misleading though, the book only has one practice test for each CLEP subject and a general list of what to study for, no real study material. Though some questions in the book have been word for word on the actual test, so study what you miss.Currently working on my 11th CLEP exam.

I passed my CLEP exam by 3 points. This book was useful and I would recommend for anyone to use it.

This is not at all a study guide. It is an overview of the topics that will be covered for each exam along with a practice test. That said, it is good to have to give one additional practice, but you will be incredibly disappointed if you think you're buying something that will explain the material in the least.

They call this a study guide, but in reality it’s a book of tests with an answer key. I had something more narrative in mind reading the word “study guide.” True, I’ll be able to pass the tests after boning up on the answers, just be aware of what you’re getting.

Excellent source to teach the material. Many of the exams are harder that the actual test.

Wasn't what i thought. I needed a study guide. This is just practice tests.

I have passed 5 test since getting this book. I am one test away from my degree now. You will still need other material to study but these practice test feel almost identical to sitting down and taking the test for real!
