Slightly bigger (and thicker) than a pocket format, which may not be immediate clear if you are not careful when buying. My main issue is the size of the print, which is quite small and only slightly larger than the adult Oxford Thesaurus. It is, therefore, only suitable for children aged 8-9+, by which age they can probably use the adult version anyway. For this reason I would not recommend.

To my surprise and delight my 10-year old asked for a thesaurus. I wouldn’t have know what that was at het age. But apparently she learned about it at school and taught it handy to have. It is not that she is a prolific writer, though when she writes she likes to add flowery synonyms. But even if she looks ups few words now and then that would be a gain and will improve her writing skills. The book matches her Oxford children’s dictionary neatly and contains synonyms and antonyms as well as example sentences for a god selection of words. The books is advertised as ‘pocket-size’ but in reality it is quite thick, and I wouldn’t be carrying it around in my pocket. As a consequence of the book size the fount-size is quite small. The book as a soft cover so it may not age well when children start to carry it around in school bags.Even so I quite like the book and format.

This is the book that saved my phone. My daughter is into writing stories and she likes to become an author. She used to take my phone and open either translator app or there is an educational website to use its thesaurus facility. Now she is happy skimming through this book to find what she wants.

The product itself is fine and is fit for the job at hand. However mine ordered and Received today has arrived with some damage to the item and what appears to be Dried Glue on the Spine. And there isn't an options to give feedback to the sellers privately hence my comment here.I could send it back to get a refund, although the book itself will be sufficient for purpose.On a positive side, delivery was very efficient and it arrived 24 hours early than predicted.

I bought this for my 11-year-old grandson who was using a thesaurus at school and got fascinated by synonyms. He said he would have preferred the 'grown-up' version but otherwise was very pleased with it.
