Amazon Fire TV Stick HD (newest model), free and live TV, Alexa Voice Remote, smart home controls, HD streaming

I bought this to upgrade from my old one. It transferred my settings and apps automatically, and is so much faster than the uh...8 year old stick I had, it tried to interface with the volume control on my television which is nice but unfortunately I have external speakers hooked up to it because I can't see well but I can hear fine and my television is cheap and 720p with tinny speakers, so that wasn't useful to me. It was nice being able to access the menus without the whole screen freezing like the stick wanted me to leave it alone already and just forget trying to watch or listen to anything.I still recommend these external devices over smart tvs themselves. Those can get obsolete, these can be upgraded like I did for a lot cheaper. It's the difference between buying an all in one pc with a flashy monitor or just buying a tower and a monitor separately, when you go to upgrade you don't need to upgrade everything. So this is a far more cost effective method of what is used mostly for youtube videos, prime video, and nature sounds for my dog.

Great for cord-cutters!Smart Home Integration: I love being able to control my smart lights and view my Ring camera feed right from my TV.Compact & Portable: It’s small enough to bring when I travel, making any TV a smart TV in seconds.Cons:You’ll still need subscriptions for Netflix, Prime Video, etc., but there’s enough free content to enjoy without them.If you're looking for an affordable way to stream HD content and add smart features to your TV, the Fire TV Stick is a no-brainer. There are many free channels that you can watch without the need for cable service or an antenna.3. There are also lots of free movies with ads through Amazon or you can watch the movies without ads for a small fee.4. You can also stream from other services (requires the appropriate subscription) like Netflix, Disney+, etc.5. If you have a 4K TV, then you might want to consider the Fire Stick 4K.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Fire Stick, but now I honestly can’t imagine my TV without it! Setup was super simple—just plug it into the HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, and log into your streaming accounts. It took maybe 5 minutes tops.The remote is very user-friendly and I love the Alexa voice control—makes it so easy to search for shows or open apps without all the clicking. It supports all the major streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.), and everything loads fast with no lag.Picture quality is great, and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. I also like that you can move it between TVs or take it while traveling. For the price, it's a great value and way cheaper than buying a smart TV.Highly recommend if you want to turn any regular TV into a smart one in minutes!

I got this for my kiddos tv, and I am so glad I did! The fire stick is a great option when you have a perfectly good tv that’s not a smart tv (and you need it to be one). They have loved being able to watch their shows in their room. We also learned that they can play Fortnite on their tv with the fire stick and no gaming system. It was extremely easy to set up. I would definitely recommend purchasing.

Got it for my mom (in her 70s). It's one of the few electronic gadgets she can work. The other Firestick was old and very sluggish, and the stick was getting very hot. I replaced it with this one, and it's working great, no longer heating up. It's HD only (not 4k), but the picture is excellent. Also, as I was setting up the Firestick, the remote picked up volume control on my mom's Vizio TV. I have no idea how it did that. I did not program it.
