It was a Christmas gift for my one year old, who really enjoys pressing down on the spinners and watching them spin. Durable toy and well made, nice and bright colours . Just the right size for a toddler to play with and would recommend.

Most Melissa and Doug toys are well made classics that fit into a children’s toy set perfectly. I found this one to be a little weird. It seems overly complicated and big for a toy that is essentially just a spinning top. While I don’t think this toy is a “must have” in any way, I don’t think there is anything wrong with it, just that it is quite one dimensional and it may just become clutter amongst kids toys. I can’t see this being any child’s favourite toys. However, it does contain elements that many children find compelling, they love pushing things into other things, watching things fall and seeing things spin. It is also good for practising fine motor skills

This is a beautifully made toy as you would expect from Melissa and Doug. Really sturdy construction, no sharp edges or unfinished areas. You use the red pushing tool to push different coloured spinning tops through the correct coloured hole. When they land on the area beneath they spin (most of the time), though as soon as they hit the edge of the base they stop spinning. Depending how lucky you are they may spin for a long time or fall over straight away.I think this would make a lovely present for the right child. There are children who will play with this for hours and hours - trying to get the tops to spin for as long as possible, and other children will get bored with it after a few minutes.Overall - well made toy from Melissa and Doug.

A great toy to get kids comfortable grabbing, holding and coordinating with ease. Young children are always a little clumsy and it takes some time for them to develop their coordination skills. This toy is a good option to help them get along with this so they feel more confident in their movement.It is designed for little hands to be able to hold and handle all the elements with ease and they are colourful and eye-catching to keep them going back to this toy time and again!

Who doesn't love a shape sorter toy?! This Melissa & Doug version is good quality, just what you'd expect from this reliable brand. You get shapes, slots to hammer them through, different colours to recognise. It's fun to play with and good chunky pieces for those little hands. It's not too big either so easy to store and looks nice if you want to have it on display on the shelf too. Overall, it's lovely. At £19.99 I think it's a bit pricy really so 4 stars.
