Great product overall, but I wish there was a way to use a standard Allen wrench for tightening. The fit is excellent and it holds my phone securely in most road conditions.

Recently started using GPS riding software and my phone for my unsuspended MTB off-road adventures using 27.5x3.0" tires.This holder has been flawless. Yea... it's a bit heavier than some of the others out there... but this thing has been great for me and it's been put through its paces... and totally reliable.And while some people complain about the "screw" adjuster being too difficult to deal with, with just 4 quick turns I can get my phone out and start taking photos, make calls, texts, or scrutinize my digital map and saves me from having to take my pack off with water bladder and tools for every phone usage...I also strap a supplemental Anker battery pack to the phone and carrier and even with that extra weight there has been zero shift of the phone on the handlebars.I am using an old Samsung Galaxy 4 "Active" model with a Trident rubberized case... so did not need any of the extra "gripper" materials that came with this phone mount.Additionally this phone mount does not interfere at all with any of my hand postions and I like the elevated phone mount since I rely on the "voice navigation" that comes from the phone speakers by-in-large for staying on my MTB routes. (I actually have the back of the phone facing up so I can hear the small speaker better and this also eliminates the sun reflecting off the screen into my eyes and causing issues while navigating rough terrain.)Very happy with my purchase.

The installation hardware including special security allen wrench were not included. Had to extract and replace screws Also no rubber spacers. Only unit was included.

I use this with my Samsung Note 8 in a case. The tabs holding the phone are high enough to securely hold the phone even in the case. There are several of these mounts but I got the Plus 6 version because the tabs holding the phone are supposed to be 12mm vs 10mm for some of the other versions. I have a popsocket on the back of the phone without any problem. I have ridden several times with it and it keeps the phone very secure. It is a pricey phone so I elected to use one of the silicone straps from Webeauty to assure that it does not come out. It probably does not need it but I would rather be safe than sorry. All it takes is a few turns of the thumbscrew to secure it or remove it and it easily rotates from vertical to horizontal.I have used the Quadlock and Rokform case mounts with previous phones but it is nice to use my regular case. Quadlock does not make a Note 8 Case and Rokform does but the magnet in the case interferes with writing on the Note 8 with the Sylus.
