Decent, basic motion sensor. Use Smartlife or Tuya but you need a Zigbee hub
I really don't like items that need hubs to work. There are so many smart products now that can work without the need for hubThis requires a zigbee hub to work. Most people don't have a zigbee hub and have never even heard of zigbee. Yes, it is a common smart home technology but most things now just operate with Alexa or Google Home, etc. You will need a Zigbee hub and they run about $20-$35With that said, this is a basic motion sensor. It's not the most accurate / sensitive but it works as well as many others I've used. Setup in SmartLife or Tuya app is easy and I like that it doesn't use a proprietary app. You can then link it to create routines like turning on lights, locking doors, etc. Overall, its relatively inexpensive and aside from the Zigbee hub requirement, simple to set up. I rate 3.5 stars and I would recommend

Quick simple setup with SmartLife and Tuya Zigbee hub, decent motion detection
Update: After two nights of testing it on the front porch, it failed to trigger the lights both nights about 50% of the time. The first night it didn't trigger at all, even after standing right in front of it and jumping around. I took it down and removed the batteries to reset it. Tonight it failed to trigger when I approached the door again. It only triggered once tonight during a few tests, and then only after standing right in front of it. I can no longer recommend it.Original Review:I received this today and the setup in the SmartLife app was simple. I already had a TreatLife Tuya Zigbee hub and wasn't sure if this would pair with it since it's not a TreatLife brand device, but it did. In fact, when I started the pairing process in the SmartLife app, it immediately detected it and added it to the app, and I didn't even have to add it to the Zigbee hub. It automatically appeared as a Zigbee device listed within the hub's device page, so setup was really easy. From there, I only had to set the parameters for triggering my porch lights. You can set the detection duration, so you can have it trigger a device as soon as motion is detected, or after xx seconds of motion is detected, which is helpful for ignoring motion that you don't want to trigger your controlled device. However, if you do this, you are also increasing the delay between when someone enters the detection zone and when the controlled device is triggered. I think I found a happy medium, but I'll have to see how many times it triggers over the next few days when no one is at the door. The device keeps a log of detections so that will help me monitor its performance. The various parameters you can set for detection are really flexible. You can tell it to turn a device on or off upon detection, or even turn a device on for a "countdown time". Then you can also set when it should turn the device off based on a no-motion-detected event. This really allowed me to set up my front porch lights (which were on a Tuya smart switch) just the way I wanted them to work when someone approaches the front door. The one downside is there are no settings for sensitivity. You could do like I did and add a delay before triggering a device, such as a minimum of xx seconds of motion before activating the controlled device, but if you have long events of motion in the distance that you want to ignore, there doesn't appear to be a way to turn down the distance on the sensor. It's probably 30 feet from my front door to the street and depending on where I mounted the sensor, it would detect passing traffic. Since most cars go by in only a second, I'm trying to use the motion duration as a sensitivity adjustment to rule out false alarms and only pick up people at the front door. Otherwise, I may need to move it and mount it overhead so it only faces the front porch and not outward, but I'd rather not because that will reduce the detection zone a little too much in my case, and it means having to get out a ladder to replace the batteries every so often. The description mentions a year on average for battery life, but I can only hope that's true. If it's less, it will be difficult to relocate it out of reach since I would need to keep frequent battery changes in mind. Overall, I'm happy with my first impression. If it had a distance/sensitivity adjustment it would be perfect, but hopefully I can compensate by positioning it differently if that becomes a problem. I guess it's better that it has a very long detection range than one that's too short. Also, I did my installation testing on a warm windy Florida afternoon (about 94 degrees outside with a constant gusty wind), so when I approached the sensor it sometimes required me to get within a few feet of it before triggering. I hope that's only due to difficulty detecting a warm body in a warm environment with wind blowing my body heat around making it even harder to detect. Either way, it still turns the light on when you reach the door, which should deter anyone who isn't supposed to be there. ;) I would certainly recommend this sensor with the understanding that it's not physically super-adjustable, but the app/trigger settings are flexible, setup was a breeze, and for the price it worked at least as well as I thought it should.

Works as expected
Easy to set up via a cheap zigbee hub through the Tuya app. I'm using this sensor in my garage and it works exactly as expected. I get a notification on my phone if it detects motion, and I also have it configured to trigger a smart plug with an alarm/flashing light plugged in.Notifications are through the app itself. You can pay additional fees to get notifications sent to your phone but outside the app. I'm not interested in that, but after looking at the cost for the feature, I'm REALLY not interested in that.
