Insta360 X4 Lens Cap

This was purchased to replace a lost silicone lens cover for my Insta360 X4 camera. I selected silicone due to prevent UV degradation of the cover and for overall durability. Surprisingly, this came in what resembled an official Insta360 box which was unexpected. I thought due to the price I was buying an aftermarket product at this price point. The quality certainly is on par with the OEM and once thing I particularly like is that the cover is much easier to install. It also fits snuggly so there is no concerns about the cover slipping off or even blowing off in strong wind. On occasion I'll leave my camera mounted on my motorcycle with lens cover on, such as at night when bugs are particularly heavy. The silicone is sufficiently thick to resist tearing while still being pliable enough to easily install.This shipped fast which I appreciated due to an immediate upcoming trip where the camera will be used.Great value. I plan to purchase a second one at this price as a spare. My original lens cover was lost when I set it in a cup holder on my motorcycle and rode off. Wind lifted it up and whoosh! Out in the ditch in the middle of the interstate.

Handy way of protecting the Insta 360 X4 lens at a reasonable cost. I found this more convenient than using a zip-up case. Combined with a screen glass protector, I feel comfortable putting the X4 and this lens cap in my other backs without the need for the case.

This Insta360 X4 lens protector is made of silicone and is easy to install. It's essential because of how exposed the camera is when handling it for storage. I highly recommend it.

The thickness of this material would certainly protect the lens, but it makes it too thick to go back into the zippered bag that came with my camera. I'd have preferred a thinner silicone, just enough that the camera lens won't get scuffed when set down. Now it is a decision between either the bag or the cover.

This lens cover reminds me of something a falconer places over the eyes of their falcon. It takes a fraction of a second to remove, so you can react quickly and get those spur of the moment shots.
