I am a sped preschool teacher working on my school counseling degree. These puppets are awesome and fun!

If you have a child who struggles with expressing his emotions, these are instrumental in helping your kid get comfortable with identifying their feelings but also not being ashamed of those feelings. This would also be really great in a classroom or a therapist office.All of the puppets have a great and simple design that makes it really clear exactly what the emotion is supposed to be. They fit well and are pretty durable. The colors are good choices for the emotions they represent.

cheap. not the best quality but serves a purpose if not for frequent usage. If for use by an adult for group times, etc this product is great.

I've gotten in trouble for mentioning TV and movie franchises in reviews, so I'll "talk around" a little if that's okay.A very large media and other endeavor company that caters to all ages but is known mostly for kids' programming, had a feature-length animated movie a few years ago about a little girl and the emotions, represented by people, in her head. A well made movie and brilliantly voice acted, it's one of my all time favorite kids' movies.A TV network that caters to kids has a spin-off network for even younger kids. They had a show a few years back in which a slim, almost freakishly flexible gentleman dressed head-to-toe in orange, even an orange Cossack hat, had some dolls that would come to life when he said the show's name with a bunch of echo.These remind me of a cross between the two. In a good way. They are quite cute.That bit of nonsense aside, my Wife on occasion cares for a 4 year old with autism. Brilliant child... by age 2 she could spell her name (first, middle and last) with magnetic letters, and shortly before her third birthday she already knew most of the sight words that they expect by the end of kindergarten. But she can't form letters with a pencil or crayon yet, barely understands spoken words and can only speak a few words and no complete sentences. She also has trouble expressing herself. I thought that these would be a perfect learning aid for her. Unfortunately, they're too small for even my skinny hands. I gave them to her Mom to see if she'll bond with them, and the included activity cards will be a big help. But she didn't seem interested in them. Not as bad as that sounds... she wasn't afraid of them, but she didn't attach to them right away, either. Hopefully, her Mom will integrate them into daily routine. Once they're a part of that, she will probably grow to love them.So while I won't say that every kid will love these right away or that they would be helpful in every circumstance, these do appear to be a good way to make play time educational or educational time more fun.Finally, I hope the beginning of this review is taken as using passive aggression as a humor tool. Based partly on reality, I thought to have a little fun with it. Sometimes my sense of humor can be a bit on the dry side. 😉

These puppets are super cute and easy to function. We've been using them every day but it took us a moment to get there. When I first gave them to my toddler, who is 29 mos old, I think he was alarmed with all the not happy faces. His favorite color is yellow and so he took Happy yellow and defeated all the other emotions he didn't like to see. He pushed Anger and Sad to the ground immediately, and the others soon after. I found this super fascinating, but kind of understood where he was coming from because it's a big job being the only positive emotion in a room. He did get over it, and we've sort of co-opted Surprised into a not so negative emotion just to help even things out. Once we got over this though we've had fun making up scenarios and we take them lots of places with us. They work great for transitions and I even use them on our drive to daycare in the mornings. Happy sees the springtime yellows in daffodils but Yuck struggles with going to school when he wants to stay home and watch Paw Patrol. Angry tries hard not to get too red. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes not. Stuff like that. The really great part to all of this is that my son's daycare teacher told me he's been having his best days this week, asking for things and being a good friend and helper, and I can't help but think these puppets have given him some new tools in which to more effectively navigate the world. I feel kind of bad taking away a full star because there's only one positive emotion but I really would love to see at least one more to help Happy out.

I have been using the puppets successfully for a few months in my classroom now. They are perfect for when a child has difficulty getting their feelings out, and they are a great addition to storytime. They are made of a soft material that holds up strong to daily play. Overall, it is a great addition to any play area.

So a while back we purchased a puppet stand for the grandkids and these absolutely make the perfect addition. Our grandkids love these and have a great time putting on shows for us. Fantastic gift

I use these with my daughter to teach emotions. We are learning about labeling the emotions we feel and to talk through them. She really enjoys the silly faces. They are great quality and sturdy, we have been using them daily for weeks.
