This is a must-have for girls from 8 - 12
My granddaughter just turned 11 in July. She's a little bit younger than most kids in her class because she made the cutoff by about 3 weeks to get into Kindergarten.Little girls can be mean at this age, and as she was navigating friendships, frenemies, and other issues that arose, I could see that sometimes she would mistake somebody's efforts as a friend effort when in fact it was really a more of a frenemy setup. This book not only helped her understand how to decide who a friend was and who somebody to avoid was, it gave her a lot of pointers on how to be a good friend as well as how not fall into the drama and games that this age bracket has a lot of.It reinforced some of the things she already knew about being a good friend and it taught her some additional elements of being a good friend. It also gave her a pretty clear understanding on how to know when somebody is being a good friend to her, and not just pretending to be.If you were a girl in middle school, then you know. And if you have a girl in middle school that you love, this book will help her build solid friendships and avoid drama during her middle school years. I highly recommend it.

A Girls Best Friend
A great gift for my 10-year-old daughter. In modern times this is a great way to reach a young kid with old technology. She is excited to make progress in the book and I appreciate the various activities focused on reflection and application of personal scenarios to keep her engaged. This product can help parents encourage their children to create meaningful relationships with friends and family.

A good book for parents and kids.
I have a 9 year old going through some girl drama at school. Being a dad, I'm pretty sure this would have been resolved with a physical fight. That's not the way girls work I'm told, so enter the book. We've gone through it and its been a good conversation starter. It talks about healthy relationships, etc. It's written in a very conversational voice and is pretty easy for kids to read and digest. Recommend!
