Q: Can I use this without the water timer? I want to check the moisture levels from my phone.

The moisture sensor needs to be paired with the water timer first, then you can monitor it through the app from your phone without the water timer.

Q: How often does the app read the sensors? these things seem highly inaccurate reading 100% in dry soil and 45% in soil i can squeeze water from.

While watering, the app read the sensor every 30 seconds. Without watering, app won't read the sensor.

Q: Can I share one sensor to multiple zones? Chances are if its raining in the front yard its also raining out back....

Manufacturer can you please elaborate how to set one sensor for multiple zones. It should be an option in the app to have it control all cycles and zones. Never had it rain in just one half of the yard ya know

Q: Why will the sensor not control the whole timer? last check rain doesn't fall in individual square foot areas. Simple programing in app or hardware

It depending on coverage too. What happen if the tree was covering it or a roof?
