I've been meaning to get a modular power supply for a while. However, the ones with decent quality and a gold efficiency rating were a bit more than I was willing to spend.I saw this Seasonic FOCUS 450 and was ecstatic when I realized it was semi modular, from a highly reputable brand, and most importantly, relatively cheap!The quality of this power supply is visibly better than the same ones of its type and there is no doubt that it will last.The 7-year included warranty is also a plus, since there are many stories out there about people receiving power supplies that fail within a few years. Of course, this warranty will not cover your other hardware so just be careful.One big aesthetic thing that many power supplies in this price range don't have is cables without that ugly ketchup and mustard color. Seasonic went the extra mile to insulate all their wires in this nice black insulation. This PSU is very compact in form, which was a much needed attribute for the micro ATX build I was doing for my aunt. It installed without a hitch and runs silently. Works as expected and even has a gold standard rating. Super high quality for the price. I'm glad I followed the high reviews for this one.

I'm using this in the Fractal Design Core 500 Mini-ITX case. I originally bought a MasterWatt 550 semi-fanless for about the same price, but my setup draws so little power, that especially with the MasterWatt's bronze rating, I wanted to go for something more efficient and closer to my needs. Not only is this gold rated and more efficient, this is the nicest, best-looking and feeling PSU I've ever had in my many years of PC building. The modular cables are great, and I love that, unlike the MasterWatt, all of the peripherals use the same connector. This means that even though this only came with two SATA cables, I was able to buy a six-pin to 4 SATA connector for the Focus Plus Gold from eBay and it worked flawlessly. I'm also trying to keep this build absolutely silent, which is one reason I went semi-fanless at first. While this doesn't have an eco or fanless mode, it's completely inaudible even with my ear right next to it. Can't recommend this PSU strongly enough!

I have mixed feels about Seasonic. I bought originally a $100 modular power supply with a 7 year warranty. It broke after about a year and sometimes my computer wouldn't start.I RMA'd it and they sent me a new one. That one inevitably had the same problem and eventually RMA'd it again and they sent me a refurbished unit... Well I popped that one in and it worked for 1 day before completely breaking. I bought this one to replace that and it seems to be working so far.. I still bought Seasonic after that bad experience but I think it's okay. Their warranty works decently.

I got the SSR-450FM (the 450W version). I think I would have preferred the 550W model but it was more than I was willing to pay for at the time. Before you buy a PSU, make sure to use an online PSU calculator and aim for a capacity round about double what your system would draw, PSUs being most efficient at about 50 per cent load.It has worked perfectly fine so far, and I am very happy. From an aesthetic point of view, the PSU is a beautiful sight to behold, with a lovely matte black finish, an attractive sticker on the top (showing its electrical characteristics), and the Focus Gold logo on the side.Note that the "FM" non-Plus Focus Gold units, like mine, carry a 7-year warranty and are semi-modular, while the Focus Plus ones (which carry an "FX" in their model number) bear a 10-year warranty and are fully modular.This is my first Seasonic unit, and all in all, I am very happy with it. Let's hope it lasts a long time!

I used this to replace my PC's failing power supply. This one works great. I was a little worried because the way the fan on this power supply is oriented meant that it would be in my PC's interior, which I though was odd. But that said, there seems to be no issues with overheating inside the case and this power supply is nice, quiet, and felt like a quality piece, and best of all my PC is working once more! I'm happy with this purchase.

This was my first Seasonic PSU after reading a lot of praise for the brand from many places on the internet. It ended up producing a terrible high pitched sound even when the computer was idling. I had to return it and ended up going back to Corsair.The semi-modular cable setup did work nicely in the Rosewill 2U rackmount case I was using however.

I purchased the 450W Focus Gold PSU and it's been great so far! It's semi-modular which is a great benefit in smaller cases and helps remove some of the clutter. The PSU was packaged well and came with extra zipties and screws.I've been using the PSU for about a week and it's quiet even under gaming load. I'm not able to hear the fan, nor does the PSU have any coil whine that I can hear.If you're looking for a lower wattage PSU that is semi-modular and quiet, look no further! Seasonic did a great job and it comes with a 7-year warranty for peace of mind.

Fuente de calidad, se percibe con solo cogerla o abrir la caja y ver el contenido. Marca premium en fuentes. Cualquiera de esta marca con certificación gold o superior es recomendable a ojos cerrados. He instalado muchas de todas las potencias y ni una sola queja. Mejor esta fuente de 450W que una de marca mala o sin certificación que prometa 600W.

Perfect replacement for my previous bronze rated PSU. Now can easily OC my GPU with the dual rail and extra stability. Very quiet, never heard the fan spin up tbh. Looks pretty cool inside my case too.

Dopo aver letto innumerevoli recensioni, di diverse marche, alla mio primo assemblaggio ho deciso di investire qualcosa in più sull'alimentatore, che è spesso trascurato a livello qualitativo nelle componenti da acquistare.Dalla mia ricerca sono arrivato alla conclusione che questo fosse per me la migliore scelta per un PC di uso "ufficio" senza (per ora) GPU dedicata. Il consumo delle mie componenti si aggira sui 200W, ho preferito comunque prenderlo da 450 oltre che per possibili upgrade futuri, anche per non tenerlo sempre sotto massimo sforzo.Avevo letto della possibilità che questi modelli fossero soggetti a coil whine, ma dopo averlo montato, a distanza di oltre un mese posso confermare che è silenzioso, anche la ventola.Lo ricomprerei sicuramente per altri assemblaggi futuri e non posso fare altro che consigliarlo.
