Pricey but worth it!
I purchased this on the advice of an orthopaedic surgeon who I was referred to with Achilles tendinopathy. I have only been wearing it for about 6 weeks but have already noticed an improvement in my condition. The swelling on my tendon has gone down and although, I still have some pain, it has lessened. I am waiting for a treatment of physio at the moment but if this continues to work as it has, I may not even need it! Although expensive and not available on the NHS, it is worth every penny!

It works!
Like many others have said I have no idea how this works but it does. Have been wearing for about eight weeks now and it all feels so much better. Was wearing most of the time at the start and now I only wear it if I know I am going to be on my feet and walking for some time. Before I bought it I did wonder if it would be a waste of money but am really pleased to say it was worth every penny.

Ruptured Achilles Tendon
I was jogging in the country side when I twisted my ankle. I thought I had ruptured my Achilles Tendon, I was in a lot of pain. In the past few months I was experiencing a sharp sudden pain that came on sometimes while jogging. I went to see the doctor and it turned out that I had badly sprained my ankle. The doctor advised to rest and take pain killers.I was due to fly shortly and I wanted to purchase a product that would provide adequate support without being too tight. Initially I was skeptical of compression type of products and I thought there's better things to waste my money on. I couldn't have been more wrong! The Bauerfeind AchilloTrain Pro Achilles Tendon Support Socks provided the right amount of support and protection. The area around the achilles tendon was very tendor and swollen. To accelerate the healing process, the soft stimulating nubs on the inside provided a 'massage' feeling during movement. The nubs on the longitudinal grooves helped to reduce swelling. These socks were an excellent fit and extremely comfortable to wear. I wore them to work without feeling any discomfort from prolong use. I did not experience any issues with skin irritation.I would be happy to recommend this product to family and friends. If the product is unworthy of a good review, I think it is unfair to leave positive feedback as this can mislead potential buyers. I hope you found the review helpful. Please click on the “Yes” button below.

Expensive but worth it
The wife has had Achilles tendon pain for some time now. She plays competitive netball and knew about it after a game, even after warming up and stretching her Achilles before each match. She has worn this a few times now and says she doesn't know how it works, but it definitely makes a difference - both during a game and afterwards. So yes, it's expensive. But if it takes away the pain, it is worth it.

Waste Of Money
I never normally write reviews but feel I need to with this product. I have a recurring injury to my left achilles caused by my leg being slightly shorter than the other along with my flat feet. I use a much cheaper cho-pat strap but felt that I could recover quicker and maybe prevent further injury because the AchilloTrain looks the part and should work really well given the expense of the product. My pain ranges from mild (2 out of 10) and up to quite severe (maybe an 8). This product - MAKES NO DIFFERENCE to my achilles pain across the full scale of pain. What it does do is give a little compression and a little warmth - AND THAT'S IT. It is a very expensive sock. Go see a doctor or podiatrist, take paracetamol, stretch your hamstrings and achilles and buy a gel pack(and put in microwave) to warm the achilles and get the blood flowing to help recovery. All these things are infinitely better and help recovery in a much quicker time.Hope this helps.
