Cen-Tec Systems 92927 Central Vacuum Power Nozzle Kit, Black

I purchased this as a replacement for a Beam kit which was obsoleted. I went down to the local central vacuum store and most of the products were over $800.00. I was hesitant to purchase this item, but finally made the purchase.I have used the vacuum for several months now and it has worked great. I read some complaints about the hose kinking, but I usually pull the hose out and extend it before use, so I have not had any issues. Also read a complaint about how the motor is loud and sounds cheap. I don't notice any difference between this model and the Beam kit that I had before.We have a golden retriever, so our previous vacuum kit would plug up with dog hair. This new kit has had not issues. I have used it at least 10 times and have not had to pull dog hair out of the brush once. It has great suction and picks up all the hair and dirt.I may purchase another one to leave on our second level.

This unit replaced a 35 year old hose and tool kit. It worked great. The suction it delivered was a great improvement from the old cracked and perforated hose it replaced. The power head motor sounded a little under powered at times but the combination of improved suction and a new power head did a better job than the old hose and power head. I could hear it pulling more dirt out of my carpets. This hose is lighter and will kink if you don't unroll it and will crush if you step on it. I didn't notice any permanent damage. A good replacement. This was one of the few units that I could find on Amazon that would ship to Ketchikan, Alaska. The diameter of the hose end in the description that I could find wasn't specific. I knew it was a different style, but I took a chance that it would match. When it arrived and I tried to connect, it wouldn't fit. I was going to need an adapter. I contacted Cen-Tec and they had an adapter that should fit my current inlets. Without hesitation their customer support mailed it to me. It may be a small thing, but a lot of companies won't even attempt to ship to Ketchikan. I was surprised and very pleased when the adaptor arrived and it fit perfectly.

I bought this for my second floor and wish I had spent the extra money for a Nutone. The hose on this unit constantly kinks no matter how much I try to straighten it before using it. The power nozzle works well, it has 2 height settings, but the switch on the wand has 2 settings for the power nozzle and only one has ever worked! Not sure what the other setting is supposed to do.

Ordered the wrong product, did not fit my system. Shipped the item back the next day, still have not received a refund, taking two months to get my money back. Unacceptable!

It’s been about a month since I purchased. My house came with central vac , I thigh was kind of weak but once I replaced the hose with this system made a huge difference. It also has weeks that turn and run very easy over the carpet ! My previous one didn’t have that .

The product is as shown and advertised. It works great! Best thing is Cen-Tec systems customer service! Had a problem with a missing part, call and left a message and received a call the very next day from Penny. She was more than happy to help and responded back to the email I sent her and sent out the new part the same or next day. Received it just a few days later and everything is perfect.Highly recommend Cen-Tec and Penny and will use them again when I need parts for my vacuum system!

The power head has been OK. The original power head is much better; the heavier head on the original helps hold the brush down better when beating the carpet fibers, in my opinion. The other attachments are meh. I will continue to use the accessory attachments for an old Kenmore canister vac before I resort to using the attachments that came with this set. The hose holder/wall mount is okay. My biggest complaint is the hose istelf. It collapses/kinks sooo easily. The hose isn't resilent enough to bounce back well from bad kinks, and so suction is negatively impacted after time. I didn't feel like I was going with the 'cheap' option with this purchase, so overall, I've been disappointed. Will continue to use the set until it can't be used any more, and then will scour the market for something else.

We needed to replace our older central vacuum cleaner components, without incurring additional cost for adapting the central vacuum system. After doing our research, we knew exactly what type of components we wanted. Then we read reviews several places. Once we had chosen everything I did a quick cost comparison, and as normal, Amazon prime won again! The components are a perfect fit for the existing system and work So nicely, plus are much quieter than any others that I have used. Very Happy!
