Studio-Level Sound in the Palm of Your Hand – Shure Delivers Again
Shure quality is the best quality, and the MVX2U is no exception. This little powerhouse completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was built with the same attention to design and build quality that Shure is known for. The unit has a solid, premium feel, with a compact form factor that’s perfect for desktop or mobile setups without taking up unnecessary space.Setup was incredibly easy and intuitive. I plugged in my XLR mic, connected the included 1m USB-C cable, and within minutes I had crystal-clear sound routed directly into my DAW. No drivers, no fuss—just plug and play. The ShurePlus MOTIV desktop app adds even more control, giving me on-screen access to gain, EQ, limiter, and compression settings. Perfect for both beginners and advanced users who want real-time adjustments. The 60dB of gain from the integrated preamp is a game-changer—especially for dynamic mics like the SM7B that usually need a separate booster. No Cloudlifter needed here. It also provides 48V phantom power, so condenser mics work flawlessly too. That level of versatility is what really makes this interface stand out. Whether you're recording vocals, voiceover, podcasting, streaming, or live Zoom calls, the MVX2U adapts seamlessly. The zero-latency headphone monitoring is fantastic. Monitoring in real time with no delay makes tracking so much more natural and professional. The headphone jack itself is clean and well-powered—it doesn’t feel like an afterthought like with some cheaper interfaces.I also love that the unit is USB-powered, so no need for an external power supply. This makes it extremely portable and travel-friendly, yet it doesn’t sacrifice on performance or sound quality.Considering the power, portability, and the fact that it replaces multiple pieces of gear in one sleek interface, the value for money is outstanding. If you’re looking for a compact, high-quality solution to connect your XLR mic to your computer without compromising sound, this is the one.Highly, highly recommended. Whether you're a content creator, podcaster, musician, or just upgrading your mic game, the MVX2U will not disappoint.

Great Customer Service by AUDIO EQUIP
This product works great and allows me to connect some nice, quality mics to my computer for recording. I used it with a few Audacity-like recording software, along with headphones that attach to it. Works great! I also wanted to mention that the AUDIO EQUIP vendor went above and beyond to resolve an issue with FedEx shipping. Somehow FedEx delivery was delayed for several days so I contacted the vendor AUDIO EQUIP. Erik at AUDIO EQUIP deserves a big 'thank you' for getting in touch with me, contacting FedEx to find out what went wrong, quickly shipping out another product after seeing a delivery delay via FedEx and following up to make sure I got the product. Thank you Erik and AUDIO EQUIP. You went above and beyond customer service to ensure I am happy. I really appreciate your efforts.

Best Tiny Interface for Pro-Quality Sound Easily
I'm testing this with an MKH-416 and Earthworks Ethos and it's been fantastic for video conferencing use. Note that while this DOES work on an iPhone 15 Pro Max via USB-C, the Shure MOTIV app currently DOES NOT support this model as of Nov 28 2023, so as far as I know, the DSP settings won't work -- not sure if config is saved on the device, meaning that one could configure this on a PC then plug in via mobile and have the DSP still work, or if it only does phantom power, but it definitely does do phantom power on mobile which is huge -- no batteries or external power supply or bulky interface required. The form factor is phenomenal, it fits in a shirt pocket, on a boom pole, on the end of a cable, or wherever you need it. The built-in monitoring option is excellent, again here for tasks like interviews or mobile film-making with pro-level audio. I haven't had a chance to see if two of them would work with an M1 iPad Pro or something, but that might be a viable alternative to something like a CEntrance Mixerface / PASport VO if you need two mics and don't want to run something bigger like a RodeCaster Pro ii.I'm glad I waited for this version and didn't settle for the original X2u that was sold out for a long time. The onboard limiter, compressor, EQ, and high-pass are great for amateurs and pros alike, and these were very easy to configure using the desktop app. One small improvement for the app could be some nice simple metering to show the impact of DSP changes in real-time, but it's easy enough to do your own testing to figure out what works for your setup. In terms of the preamp, it feels very much "good enough" and I didn't notice any discernible difference between it and the MixerFace that lives on my desk for conferencing, which has their high-quality "Jasmine" preamps. This plus an SM58, SM7B, RE20, S-Mic 2, MX183, DPA 4066, etc is going to be a million times better than using a junky headset or Blue Yeti type mic, and the fact that it has built-in DSP that does what used to take some serious rackmount equipment to handle well cannot over overstated. Great job Shure, now just add support for this to the mobile app!In summary, if you want to plug a nice real XLR mic into your computer, phone, or tablet and have it sound great with minimal fuss in a super-compact package, this is the one to get. Nothing else on the market at the moment compares at any price, since this form factor is pretty unique.
