Had mixed thoughts before downloading the kindle edition. Straight away coming to pros and cons or rather what you should or shouldn't expect from the book:1. 'Poor writing'Many reviews mention poor writing. To me its as good as any Indian author can be. The book does lack the normal lusture of any crime thriller, but then it was never meant to be a sensational presentation. The writing does total justice in presenting the psyche of the person Laxman Singh Bisht (LSB). So one must 'not' expect King's english or literary ecstasy, but any one in awe of the now-celebrity Lucky Sir, and aching to know about this journey specifically those four years, could totally quench their thust. And the stature of the person would increase manyfold.2. 'Credibility issues'Many ppl have doubts on LSB an an agent for RnAW. Well, as for the book it nowhere states that Agent Lima =LSB. Might need to read the second book probably. Its simply the narrative of survival instinct of LSB during a turmoil phase and a parallel of his training. In fact the ending shall leave u thinking about LSB for quite some time.3. Credibility about RnAWAgain this is a biography not autobiography. Therefore expect some extent of creative Liberty. How much exactly, can be easily verified from the news archives easily available all over the net. Well Nowhere ever in any of his podcasts, interviews etc, did once is this agency named. So, no wonder the book leaves this out.Ok. The bottomline: Its a open ending book. Leaves many things to your understanding. To believe or not is upto the reader. Just Do the math. Definitely a good read.P.S. If you have grown up reading Holmes, Feluda, and fan of Cormoran strike, Jack Reacher, Lisbeth Salander etc, DO NOT miss this one. He is the man leaping out straight from your fantasy (You would know what I mean)

The media could not be loaded. One of the most spectacular book that I read is #therawhitman ,it has all the elements of thrill which takes u to a height and then leaves u to figure out what could be the possibile learning from the story, #shussainzaidi has again bring a storm by writing this book as most of his previous popular books has a Negative shades in protagonist, but with this book he could bring a real life story of an ordinarily extraordinary man aka #luckybisht #luckycommando #commanderbhai / #agentlima ,who is not just a soldier but also raw agent working for security agencies of India, the twist comes when how a murder charge made a solider under scrutiny of law and he had to fight his whole battle alone with his family, his survival instincts which he learned during his training days at Israel define from "a man who can eat snakes will never die hungry" and his love for his nation is undermine when he says to his best friend (during training) on asked "Yes he would kill him if he was opponent from other army" how the training from Zora singh helped him to take all the mental and the physical torture that he had to undergo during his murder trail, the story has some most powerful names of underworld which makes the reader in thrill as it is a real life story.

A must read for all those who have interest and covert operations of special forces team members; how their life takes at times take ugly turn. Politics and crime juggernaut and a soldier doing his assigned job selflessly!!

The story line failed meet the expectation. In fact it got terribly boring. So I would not suggest one may skip this book.

Fascinating. Such truths exist . I finished the book in flat 2 long reading sessions. Gripping true story of a soldier doing his duty & going thru the grinds of law & justice . Enjoyed .
