Excellent quality with surprisingly good magnet strength. My 8yr grandson was SO happy with this Christmas gift. And the bonus of checker set too. Size of this is perfect as well. We love the way the all pieces fis well into case, notjust tumbling about. Even his dad was impressed. Definitely would recommend.

Would say overall quality is good, nicer than I expected. Is as advertised. Chess pieces are slightly magnetic. Checkers pieces (not what I purchased the set for) are not magnetic.

This is a really nice Chess set. Nice magnetic touch. Note: The game is ment to be played on a horizontal service NOT vertical so the magnets are just fine! The storage is nice. My only negative is that the pieces could be a little bigger but other than that it's a nice set.

This is well made & nice to use. The finish on the board and the pieces is good. The pieces fit securely in the storage slots. They are not hard to pick up and move across the board, but an accidental bump on the board does not disrupt the whole game. The magnets do keep the pieces in place well.

I love this set!!! It’s good quality and the portability is convenient. I bought this to introduce my 10 year old daughter to chess. Chess is now our favorite playtime pastime. We both have fun playing one another on this board.

The media could not be loaded. Inspired by watching the Queen’s gambit my husband and I have decided to give chess another try. I used to have a beautiful chess set when I was a kid so we wanted to get something that would last and that was good quality. Excited to see that these pieces are magnetic, and they stick to each other into the board which means there are more chances of us to find a lost one in case our toddler decides to interrupts one of our games. I love how each of the pieces has a specific spot inside the board. So you don’t actually have to just put them all in there and hear them rattling as you put the game away. I can safely put it on the side or on any of the sides, and not worry about the pieces making a rattle or any noise that is unnecessary. I think this also makes a great gift for anyone who can use to improve their stem skills through a fun game. Useful that it comes with a guide to get you started
