A Must-Have for Highlighting and Detail Work!
General's Compressed White Charcoal is a game-changer for any artist working with toned paper, charcoal, or graphite. The pigment is bright, smooth, and blends beautifully, making it perfect for adding sharp highlights or soft glows. It lays down easily without crumbling, and the coverage is excellent even on darker surfaces. I especially love how well it contrasts against black paper—really makes the artwork pop! Whether you're doing portraits, landscapes, or mixed media, this is an essential tool in your kit. Highly recommended!

Great Charcoal Great Price
I am relatively new to art but am learning new techniques. I started working with charcoal and really liked it but wanted to add white to it. So I ordered the compressed Charcoal Sticks in white. They work quite well for me I am very happy with the way they work and blend. This is charcoal it is not chalk so it is not for chalk boards. just an FYI.These are used best on sketching or mixed media paper. no need to use heavy card stock or watercolor paper either. Any good quality sketching paper is fine.I love this product and it is an excellent product and value especially as an add on.I will be buying this again

Not what I expected
Doesn't work over charcoal. It only gets dirty with charcoal

Blends very easy
I use it mainly to mix with the dark charcoal to create other values and these work quite well.
