Happy with this product - first time purchased on Amazon, previously purchased when on offer at Tesco to see if works - works well and has improved performance on my diesel car / use 125ml before topping up my cars diesel dot his twice a month and my old 16yr car runs like new - would recommendOnly issue buying on Amazon delivery before 10pm ? Would prefer 2hr window - it’s a product every diesel owner should use

This was bought for my Ford Fiesta diesel car 2009 version. She has been smoking and emitting a strong vapour on starting especially in cold weather. The MOT three weeks ago stated 'injectors' as an advisory. Within two weeks of adding redex to the full tank the effectiveness is noticeable. There is no longer an awful smell and smoke on starting the ignition. I prevented leakage this time around by purchasing a suitable funnel for diesel additives (also from Amazon). It is a good size for two shots (one per tank of fuel.I suspect that redex has done a good job of cleaning especially the fuel injectors. I am pleased with the quality of this product and will purchase again, looking out for half price deals when they come around occasionally.

Obviously I dont have the professional tools to test this but my engine works fine and I'm convinced there is an improvement

I’ve been using Redex Diesel Fuel System Cleaner in every tank for a while now. To be honest, there’s no obvious evidence that it works — but at this price, it definitely doesn’t hurt. It gives me peace of mind knowing I’m doing a little extra to look after my engine.Since I started using it regularly, I haven’t had any issues with performance or fuel system problems. Whether that’s down to the Redex or just good maintenance, I can’t say for sure — but I’m happy to keep using it.For the cost, it’s an easy habit to stick with. Cheap, simple, and no downside — I’ll keep adding it to every tank!

Fact is that it would be almost impossible to know if this actually works unless you had a laboratory at your disposal. Certainly in my day to day driving I can't tell if this makes any difference.However, both my wife and I have diesels - me, a 4x4 pickup and she has a Jeep. Neither get huge daily mileages on them and in particular my wife tends to do short journeys. As a marine engineer I'm particularly conversant with fuels and engines give a small difference in economy or use on a ship can amount to literally millions extra per year. And I know in the marine industry nothing has ever made any difference to fuel economy apart from good initial design and using the engine to its most effective efficient level.And that's at high load - around 85% - and continuously. Under those conditions it's generally the case injectors are fine for years.Cars however don't work that way and it's a fact that short hops with low load will cake injectors over time. The solution is of course to regularly go for a decent drive and give the car some beans. That's not going to work with the local rozzers of course if they catch you but it does help the engine. Back in the land of normal driving that's not possible and thus I chuck some of this in hoping it helps. And that may be black magic because I've read nothing that says it makes any difference one way or another.What I can say is that over the last year my wife and I have noticed no reduction of engine running condition or performance. So maybe it does help.Bottom line I chuck a bit of this in now and again and fingers crossed it makes a difference.
