Quite a lot of money for what it is but does work well and enables good end results.
At around £200 it's quite a lot of money for what it is but once you get to know how to use it it's fairly quick and easy to set up and use and enables good end results. Quality-wise it's reasonably good, the main frame is black anodised aluminium and the slider blocks are a decent quality plastic with metal thumb wheel tightening screws. It all comes in a hand velcro storage bag too. I don't like the bradawl arrangement Trend provide for securing the jig to the door. I've found three 3.5 x 40 screws (top, middle, bottom) provide a much better securing method. Once the door edge is sanded down after removal of the jig the screw holes are much less noticeable too. Overall a good jig, quick and easy to use if a bit expensive.

Got a lot of flack for getting this from people my age and older but when time is money, this is a huge saver, especially price work. Easy to set up and once done can chop out multiple doors and jambs. Pair this up with a decent door mortiser and you’re good to go.

Great piece of kit
Great piece of kit, easy to set up and use. No going back to the old ways now, unless its an odd job like architrive on too close to the door frame edge, which can create a problem for the jig. The plate on the top that swivels to allow for the gap between the door head and frame for me is too heavy at 3mm, I have taken it off and stick in a padsaw blade between the jig and the frame and so dont have to worry that I'm gonna be left with a big gap, worked out pretty well so far, as the door weight will always bear down the way, depending on the quality of the hinges used of course to what degree.

Great tool
Would be better if adjustments for guides were turn screws instead off pozi machine screws otherwise brilliant

A very well made jig that comes with a neat carry bag
I bought this (Trend H/JIG/C 2-Piece) to help with putting up a bunch of doors at home. Using this jig and a small router helps give a professional finish to the hinge recesses. Obviously there's a high chance of really messing up with these tools so measuring at least three times is advised :)Kit comes complete with a strong carry bag, some awls, and a Trend router guide bush.I combine this jig with a couple of 3-way G clamps to secure to the door itself.

Good bit of kit
Once set up - so much easier to use than the old (single hinge jig) one I used before… ALL hinges line up
