Great modifier... easy to pack away, transport and unpack.... a quick and surprisingly effective alternative to using an extra light to fill in the shadows, even out the light, or create a bit of drama to the picture/scene. Nearly 15 years of amateur photography and I can't believe I haven't bought one of these sooner. Great piece of kit.

I'm just going to jump on the bandwagon here - but for good reason! This product is simply astounding. The price of £11 is good enough, but maybe you'd expect a so-so product that would only be good for small film/photo projects? No way! This thing has 5 different reflective surfaces, from gold to silver to translucent white, that allow for all kinds of diverse lighting tricks and tactics for a perfect shot. It's a great size and folds up easily into a nice bag for easy transport to different locations. I struggled with lighting for a while before I took my work more seriously, and upon buying this I have already found ways to erase annoying lighting issues - like silhouettes, one sided light sources and overly powerful artificial lights that create too much glare.Those going into filming (like myself) or photography and are in need of improved lighting: you can't go wrong with this thing!

The difference I've seen already, based on just a few snatched photos at home, is amazing. Packing the reflector away takes a little practise at first but I spent 10 minutes messing with it and now I've got it taped - just a few seconds and they're back in teh bag. Getting them out, on the other hand, is as easy as unzipping, holding out at arm's length and "pop"! - Ideal.This reflector really pushed the light back into the dark side of any photo and I'd highlly recommend that your buy this product if you photograph people, especially. Changing the reflectors is easy but takes a little while, so decide which reflector you're going to use for a shoot and stick with it, or at this price, buy another set. That's what I'm going to do (but a smaller one as backup).

Just to let you know, this isn't 5 separate reflectors. It is one collapsible reflector which is the diffuser (reflector 1 of 5) which has a reversible zip on cover with the other 4 reflectors on it: Gold, Silver, Black and White. So in theory you can only properly use one at a time but you could use the diffuser and then hang another reflector off of something else.Having said that, it's only a tenner for a big 42 reflector. And that is big. And reflecty. The silver and gold foil like finishes throw back a lot of light and quickly can change the mood of your shot. It seems well built and is easily foldable and happily fits back in to the supplied bag.Definitely recommended.

So, after searching for a decent reflector... Thank god I found this one, do not be afraid of:. The large-sized version, it is actually manageable to hold for quite long and to use it as a background for portraits. Its price, it is made of a good-quality fabric and the different sides will get the job done just as described in the product page.. The zippers, they seem fragile but actually they aren't made to take a beating, are they? They are durable.. Folding it up, it's easy! Just put your hands in opposite sides of the reflector and twist them in opposite directions.. Different uses, a reflector isn't only useful in the studio but also outside and not only to diffuse light, use it as a fill light.The product came very well packaged and inside a portable bag which is gonna help you carrying the reflector around.

I'm an amateur photog, only self taught and I've never had a reflector before. I must say I'm glad I read reviews. This size seems quite large if you've never had one, but I think it's fantastic! You really need that extra coverage when shooting anything that isn't a product shot in a studio. The diffuser did well with a mock newborn setup (I used a baby doll on a beanbag) & some direct window light. If it were any smaller, I would have had bright light around the edges of the beanbag (probably only 4 or 5 cu ft).I'm satisfied with the build quality. I can't imagine anything being much more substantial. When I zip the cover over the diffuser it's a tight fit, but that should be expected. You don't want a floppy reflector. You can shimmy the diffuser down the cover a bit and it makes it easier to zip.I've found the diffuser on its own is hard to collapse, but once I put the cover on, it's easy to fit back into the original bag.Really for the price, you can't beat this deal. Treat your products well and they should outlast their expected expiration date.

Very prompt delivery service - arrived before the given delivery date.The disc is very easy to use and very effective. Hardest part of using it is working out how to fold it back again to a smaller 'circle', so that it fits back inside the cover...but not a difficult feat to master! Good quality cover, with a zip fastening.The additional colour layers to the disc also zip on and off to reveal the central translucent layer.The large size is also doubly useful - when open you can just prop it against a wall or other object and it's then easy to reach for the next shot.Overall a very excellent product for the price - highly recommend it.
