cried, laughed, fell in love - amazing
Loved it the characters are amazing and I loved this book. Spice is spicy and the plot was great. Thought I knew what was gonna happen and thought it was obvious but I didn’t and even if you do guess it the journey is worth it!

It’s like a movie!
4.7/5 - I can’t quite give it a full 5, because I felt like there were a lot of leaps in the timeline (Ana Huang did mention that’s how it would be, but it’s harder to deal with when your trying to get into the story) and I felt like that took away from some parts of the story. That being said, this book was so exciting to read! Bridget and Rhys’ relationship is sexy and beautiful and loving, and all of the twists and turns kept me on my toes - I was never bored with these two, that’s for sure!

Buddy Reading Worthy! (Not your tradition "Cinderalla" story) READ WITH CAUTION! SPOILERS AHEAD!
My friend and I are buddy reading this series together, and this was a nice read. A lot of repeats on characteristics and emotions like Rhys's eyes being "stormy" and "steel" like, butterfly infested stomachs, and "she's different" vibes. If it weren't for those constant repeats, I might have rayed it higher. It was a bit rushed with Rhys's found family trope, but a nice touch anyway! Ana Huang does have a thing with having her characters making deals or bets that's supposed to draw them closer together, and this time, it was to follow orders without question, but I didn't see the point since Rhys became so whipped to the point he couldn't stay away/keep his hands off Bridget throughout their story! I'd say this was also a bit of a slow burn if you're expecting a love confession right away! Huang did a good job with portraying Bridget's emotions so strongly, too! With the reflection of her parents' death, the feeling of being placed last as a person, the guilt of her grandfather's heart attack, and being heartbroken, I was really in my feelings when reading through that. With the twists in the end, my friend and I were both screaming and crying from how things wrapped up! I'd recommend as a buddy read for sure to talk about the spicy scenes, the twists, the pain, and laughs! This will work as a read alone too, but I've heard both series are intertwined one way or another. Why not read it with a friend or book club?

Twisted Series- Best Yet
A Favorite Quote: “We weren’t a fairy tale. We were a forbidden love letter, tucked into the back of a drawer and retrieved only in the darkness of night. We were the chapter of bliss before the climax hit and everything crumbled into ash. We were a story that was always meant to end.”Self-written Blurb: Bridget’s new grumpy bodyguard is a stickler for rules and the epitome of “party pooper”. And as a princess, trouble seems to fall right into her lap. Rhys, an ex-Navy SEAL, does not mix business with pleasure. His job is to ensure his client’s safety, no exceptions. No matter how beautiful and intriguing they may be. But when Bridget’s life gets thrown a curveball when her brother abdicates the throne, leaving Bridget next in line, a bucket list just might be the thing that flips the script for Rhys and the princess. And after they both get a taste, how are they to move on with their lives like their story was meant to?What I enjoyed: Wow! Ana Huang has done it again. I am usually not big on the bodyguard trope but Ana delivered this trope masterfully and had me pining for more of Rhys and Bridget’s story. I am a giant fan of the dual POV! The plot kept me engaged and curious enough to ponder when I wasn’t actively reading. This one was hard for me to put down and I blew through it in a matter of days when it normally takes me longer to finish a book. The spice was on point with the commanding bodyguard vibe. The perfect blend of spice and plot and very easy to read and follow.Any struggles?: I would say it was mildly predictable but it didn’t take away from the story or experience. Will I recommend and to who: If you like contemporary romance with a slightly darker theme- this is for you.

Ana Huang Does it Again!
This was a WILD RIDE so let’s get into it!🥴Let me start off by saying, my chest still hurts. Really bad. Because this book made me feel EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE🫠 Every emotion one could possibly feel, I felt reading this book.Yall know how much I love Hallmark movies and this was a rated S for SPICY Hallmark movie cause the spice was SPICINGGGGG🥵🤭I thought there were twists in the last book but the twists in this one KEPT TWISTING and just when I thought they were done twisting, they twisted some more!😭 and when I tell you I wasn’t expecting ANY of them! And as for our MCs, I loved how their relationship developed throughout the book! From enemies to frenemies to friends to lovers?! Um HELLO?!🤭And Rhys Larsen?Rhys LARSEN?!RHYS LARSEN?! RAW NEXT😩 like seriously he’s the definition of “he’ll burn the world for her.” He was going to burn the monarchy for Bridget and we STAN a “touch her and 💀” king🥴🙃🙂↕️Overall, I have absolutely no complaints about this book. Every part of it was perfect and now I’m scared I’m gonna fall into a reading slump🥲 but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make🙂↕️
