This paper was not thick at all. I do watercolor, and I need it to absorb. The 140# weight, in my opinion, was not accurate.

Good for a beginner
So I am trying to learn how to paint with water colors. This notebook was a good choice for me. I do however would have to mention the grainy effect I got when I accidently used too much water. The paper started having a grainy appearance but it was not that noticeable when it dried. Of course this one is on me, just try to be sure that you're not drowining the page so this doesn't happen to you.

No warping or buckling!
This watercolor paper is the best I've ever used. Either side can be used, watercolor side is fabulous and even after several washes, I've not experienced the usual bucking as I had on other papers. The smooth side is excellent for pencil, as well as ink drawing. Two photos, one in pencil, one in watercolor.

It's just ok
Quite thin. Just a bit of water and this paper buckle, doesn't keep its shape.
