For removal, change your thinking!
For inserting contacts: think of it as a suction cup. It works!For removing contacts: especially if you have dalies or soft contacts; think of this tool as more of a spatula!Use the edge of the suction cup as your way of breaking the seal of the contact. I find it works best from the bottom up. (Literally look up!) Then carefully slip the edge of the suction cup under the edge of the contact. Takes some practice, and I suggest practicing the placement in front of a beauty mirror with magnification, but it works every time! And with 0 suction! I find the cup very flexible and thin and soft to the touch in my hand and on my eyeball. I dip the cup in solution, then place the contact on the cup and insert it in my eye. Easy peasy.Taking it out: dip the cup in solution and again, slip the edge of the cup under the edge of the contact and push it gently over your eye towards the opposite edge of the contact and it will break the seal and come right out!

NOT FOR SOFT CONTACTS
DOESN'T WORK FOR SOFT CONTACTS - inserting ye,s but REMOVAL is not helpful at all, took me 30 min to get my soft contact out of my eye using this. Don't buy unless you wear hard contacts . Directions to remove are simple: squeeze, place on contact in eye, and lift away <-- that wasn't the case at all.

If you have medium to long nails this is a must to put in and take out contact lenses!

Doesn't work
Doesn't work, seems like it's going to pull you're eyeball out it's socket and it makes a weird popping sound when it releases you're eye... two thumbs down!

Safer than fingers.
Would be nice if this was about an inch longer.It is better than using your fingers as I had scratched my eye with my fingernails.

Lens applier and removal.
They don't do as I thought. Their too small to hold onto while going to my eye. The suction valve isn't as capable as one would think. It does suck. Lol. But it doesn't hold well when attached to my lens in my eye for extraction or application doesn't release accurately because of the smallness of my grip is hinderd by the mechanism for releasing air pressure.
