Works well, I Really like that it works as a tripod. It does take a few seconds to get the bluetooth connected for use eash time. Not blaming selfie stick as that is likely an iphone/bluetooth design challenge. Hut for that reason I did deduct 1 star

Very good and awesome

I found this product while looking for a MagSafe-compatible tripod/selfie stick. Unlike other products that require tightening and loosening a nut to secure and remove the phone, this one uses magnets, making it incredibly easy to attach and detach the phone.I love everything about it, but there are two downsides. The last segment of the selfie stick is thicker than expected. To ensure sturdiness, the design sacrifices some slimness, making it feel quite full when held in one hand. As a result, it weighs 390g, which is heavier than I anticipated. Holding it for an extended period might make your arm tired.

I wish I had realized that the tripod legs were plastic and incredibly flexible. It bends out of shape pretty easily and not be afraid of overtime they would break. I also tried to use this as a portable monitor stand with a small little 2 pound monitor and it absolutely was not strong enough to hold it up.

The remote that I received didn’t work out of the box. There was no instructions and I struggled for a while. Sharing what I did to get the remote to work, in case it might help someone.1. Take the remote out of the tripod.2. Look at the back of the remote. It says “open” and points to the corner of the remote. There is an indentation at the corner. Use fingers to pry it open. Do it on a table so the loose parts won’t fall on the ground.3. Once the remote is open, take out the battery. Look for a tiny piece of clear plastic insulating the battery. Remove the plastic. Put the battery back in its place.4. Close the remote case.5. Press and hold the remote button for 3 seconds. You should see a blue light flashing next to the button.6. Pair the remote with your phone (Bluetooth).

I purchased this to be used as part of a setup in my car to hold my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The most important thing is that the magnets are more than strong enough to hold my phone on while inside a case and I have never had it fall off, even when hitting hard bumps in the road. I have used similar mounts in the past that relied on a hole that went all the way through and a screw would need to go in from the front which meant that both the head of that screw needed to be very low profile to avoid making contact with the phone when mounted, but that it was also an eyesore right there on the front when nothing was on the mount. This one with the integrated 1/4-20 mount on the back is excellent in comparison. The front is a solid, clean design with a strong screw mount on the back to attach it.
