I took a nip out of the outer insulation to confirm that this cable is armored. The outer insulation is tough enough a razor knife didn't want to shave it, I wound up nipping it with side cutters to expose the cable internals. I found a metal spiral sleeve, as advertised. I didn't cut past the armoring to see how the strands are protected internally as I wanted the test to only be destructive to the outer sheath. As far as I can tell this cable is as-advertised.The main body of the cable is a single tube with both fibers in it. As such it's actually about half the size of un-armored OM3, which is nice.My only gripe is 50m in a coil is a bit much to unroll, a spool for the longer lengths would be nice.

The fiber works overall well. It is flexible and slightly "Fatter" compared to other OM3 fiber due to the additional outdoor black rubbery coating. The main reason I am only giving this 4 stars is that the place where the two biers are joined at the end is a "square" big piece of plastic that easily gets caught when pulling the fiber through a conduit.

Our client wanted a 2 building link with option to expand to 10G in future. The product has met our needs. Reason for 4 stars is due to long shipping times. Be sure to order far in advance. This will work inside a conduit with pull string but not for outdoor use. It hard to tell from pictures but there is a combiner which make one thin cable to pull. I recommend this product.

This fiber works well. We deployed it in conduit for a 50 meter run to an external building. Using it with two Cisco 2960G switches with regular GLC-MM-SX transceivers.DOM monitoring shows less than 0.5db loss on a 50 meter run. Right at -5dbm on both TX/RX.Hoping it will hold up well inside of the conduit. It is very small. The fiber came tested, with test results on the packaging itself. It indicated roughly -50db reflectance, so this is a very well prepared enclosure.It is OM3 rated, and I'm looking forward to trying it with 10Gb transceivers sometime in the future.

Great product, recommended for running through walls and floors with no conduit. Used for in home installation and works very well.

This item worked well to connect two building's switches together. This fiber was pulled (carefully) between two building in an underground conduit.

Was accidentally quite rough with this at times as it was being pulled with a much thicker power cable. All fine. Nice consistent speed to the outside office. Previous copper run was a disaster due to cheap copper, fibre is the way to go. :-)

Lieferzeit okay aber auf einer Seite schlechte Verarbeitungsqualität. Schutzmantel auf einer Seite lose und lässt die Faser sichtbar vorgucken. Ob das Kabel trotzdem funktioniert kann ich noch nicht sagen.die GBics sind noch nicht da.Nachtrag: GBics sind da - Kabel ist im Eimer!! So'n ein Murks.

Breaks on first slight tug... would not recommend unless trying to run it on a straight line in open air....
