Book in excellent condition and arrived in a timely manner.

This book is insightful, informative, well written and engaging. It is exactly what a well written history book should be. This is what my family members will be getting as Holiday Gifts this year. Five Stars!

This is such a great idea. I turned immediately to my birthday. I can see everyone else doing that. Every day has a fascinating, short and often unexpected account of an event. Quite a lot are military and political but I was pleased to see that science, literature and engineering are well represented. This is not a book for those pursuing an academic career in history. But it is great for anyone who wants to have a daily dose of history!

I saw Dan Snow plug this on television once so purchased one for myself and gifted the other immediately as I thought it would be interesting.I have to admit I have not read it from front to back, yet so unable to provide a true complete rating at this stage!There is always the argument that you can look things up online however this book has a lot of information that you do not find at a glance.There are no photographs immediately apparent, although there are maps at the start showing what happened in various parts of the world on particular days in history at a glance.This book has January 1st to December 31st covered.It will be a good book to read out to others, maybe at a gathering as it could be quite a social book for general knowledge, trivia and will encourage conversation.

Wonderful idea for a book for people who don’t like reading lots in one go/don’t have the time to read. You can read one page per day, perhaps on your commute or before bed. It’s easy to read & you get a lot of historical facts from one day. I’ve never really seen a book like this before. I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day & he really appreciated the idea of it, making it easy to read as he’s usually out & about at work or at the gym. Beautifully detailed cover as well & hardback makes it feel expensive.
