Great customer service
I can’t recommend this power strip. I’ve used other Tessan strips but this one the WiFi ports all stopped working and resetting and following their instructions didn’t fix it. They are all powered off and useless now after 2.5 months and it almost crashed my reef tank because of it.**EDIT**Tessan reached out and sent a replacement. For the great customer service I updated my review. Thanks!

Works with Home Assistant
Very happy with the device after one day. I'm pretty technical and didn't have any issues setting up Wifi and would like to add that this device does work with Home Assistant (besides Amazon and Google which I did not try but are stated elsewhere). The HA integration is using Tuya / Smart Life so its using the same control methods as the App (cloud based). I wish this device (and all vendors) supported local control but this seems to be fairly commonplace with many smart devices. At least I can control this power strip and all my other devices through one Home Assistant interface.

Highest Quality, Alexa Compatible
Smart Outlet Plug Extender, TessanThis is such a useful little plug extender and I really cannot recommend it enough. You plug it in and then set it up in the SmartLife app (which is very convenient, not having to download a new proprietary brand app) and from there Alexa automatically discovers the device. You can turn the entire plug on/off as needed or you can turn on/off individual plugs one at a time.Of the 6 outlets on this extender, 3 of them are smart and can be given custom names in Alexa. So you could plug this into your study and name one of the plugs "Light", another "Printer", and a third "Fountain". The other three plugs would hold things that you don't want Alexa to have on/off power over, like a computer or air purifier. The plugs are far apart, which makes them great for heavy power banks--you don't have to worry about a power bank covering other plugs because it is too big and bulky. There are additionally 3 USB plugs, for charging phones or lights as needed. Very convenient!~ Ana Mardoll

Intrusive software more trouble than it's worth. You agree to be spied on. Seriously? PASS!
So, I recently purchased this power strip and I have to say, it's one of the dumbest smartest products I've ever encountered. You would think that in this day and age, manufacturers would understand that nobody uses 2.4ghz WiFi anymore. It's not the early 2000s, that's not cutting-edge technology! To use this power strip, I had to turn on a Guest WiFi specifically for this specific device because it required a 2.4ghz connection and it's the only "smart device" I owned that uses that frequency to connect to it. Then, you have to use a 3rd party application that demands that you enter a security code that is emailed to you and expires in 60 seconds - and all the while forcing you to connect to a 2.4ghz wireless network. The whole process of getting this to work is just plain stupid. The app demands access to Bluetooth, even though it's not a Bluetooth power strip. And don't even get me started on the ridiculous privacy policy that requires children and adults to read the policy... you agree to it regardless if you are a chid or not... it's basically permission to spy on you and sell your information to 3rd parties. I can't honestly see why this is even included or demanded for end-users to accept but I'm going to say I'm one the rare people who actually read the policy line by line. The 3rd party software is way too intrusive, asking for permissions for other "3rd parties" and a whole array of device functions that go unnamed for a reasoning behind why it's required. This is a power outlet that uses WiFi, why would it possibly need those permissions for what? Even if you accept these "permissions", you can just remove them from your control panel and the software will let you back in without needing them in the first place. Clearly they aren't needed to operate the power strip. It's honestly more trouble than it's worth. I liked it more when I didn't try to use it as a "smart device". Plus, it can't seem to remember its orientation when denying permission and flips around multiple times while you try to make sense of what you're looking at.I'm giving this product a rating of one star because of how stupid this whole experience has been. The instructions on the product page for connecting this power switch to the app don't even make much sense. I had to guess at what to press in the app and how to connect to the device correctly. I'm going to pass on this product and look for a simpler, more user-friendly option that doesn't need access to everything function available on my phone and Alexa device.I'm actually going to return this to Amazon. I have no idea why this product has 500+ 5 star reviews but this product is a hard pass from me.
