I wanted to use this with a work laptop because I'm remote and like using 3 monitors. Totally reasonable that IT is not going to provide that just because I like it. However, a work laptop means restricted permissions, so any device that requires separate drivers to be downloaded and installed just isn't going to work. This device worked perfectly! If I had better placement for my laptop, I could actually be using 4 screens with my Windows laptop, so better than advertised. The power off this device keeps my laptop charged, so one power supply used. The USB connectivity has been solid as I added a USB hub to the 3.0 port. Keyboard and mouse are connected to the 2.0 ports in the back. Very pleased to start. Hopefully it continues to work as expected. I don't know that I will ever test the other functions as my audio is USB and I don't need to read memory cards. Hope this review is helpful.

Having an iMac with a limited number ThunderBolt 3 (USB-C) ports is a drag. I originally had an OWC dock but it stopped working. This was the perfect replacement, and more. Now I have an SD and a microSD slot, HDMI for an external monitor, and USB 3.0 and USB-C ports on the front of the dock. It's metal chassis makes for a very solid build. It's working great after the first month...I'm happy!

Hello Intpw, I used this unit for a while and worked fine. Suddenly after 6 months of use it stopped working. Here is what's working and what's not working1. Ethernet through the unit does not work, same ethernet directly plugged worksyour order says warranty 1 year. please send me a replacement unit or refund my money. I will ship this non working unit back.I asked the vendor several times to provide a solution, one time I got a response back to ship it back, but did not give any details where to, what is the procedure etc. So if you buy this and it stops working good luck I have one more month to resolve this under warranty and after that it will be thrown in the trash.My advice dont buy this.
